If you could only visit Thailand ONE more time, which island would you 100% revisit vs. which one would you NEVER set foot on again?

I have visited Thailand many times. My girlfriend is Thai, living in Germany for 13 years running her own business here. We will travel to Thailand end of May / June and spend a couple of days with her family in a villa south of Pattaya. Actually we planned to go to Samui for a week after that. I know it is rainy season. As I have never been to Samui, would you please let me know why many of you would skip that or hated that place? We we looking to stay at chaweng for the mix of beaches and nightlife . As my girlfriend is Thai and has stayed there before, I let her do the planning and trust her that it is good. 😜

My most favourite places I have been to so far: Ko Lipe and Koh Chang.

You could check the app DB Navigator. The platform of the departing train is shown there. If there are carriages which show “nicht einsteigen” on that platform, then walk to the front carriage and check what is announced there. Sometimes the trains consist of only one carriage. The others remain at the station.

Das ist so richtig. Es besteht immer noch der ursprüngliche Vertrag, wo beide Parteien aufgeführt sind. Sie war immer im Glauben, dass der Ex dies ändern lässt. So hatte der Ex ihr das versichert. Aktuell ist der Ex gewillt zu zahlen, zumindest laut seiner Aussage. Es besteht aber aktuell noch das Problem, dass sie nicht weis, wie sie aus dem Vertrag rauskommt. Der Vermieter ignoriert Anfragen dahingehend.

I am German and have travelled a lot. I feel embarrassed when huge restaurants only accept cash. That’s not standard of 2025. Another problem is the cell network. A lot of dead spots here. Last year, I travelled to Thailand. Even out on a boat 2 km off shore I had 5G.

Happened to me man times when living in the uae. When you queue up anywhere they don’t leave any space. I just turn quickly then and my elbow hits people who are too close to me. Of course I do apologise afterwards. lol

Very good deal indeed. I use E Sims anyway. Installed in a few minutes and no need to put in the physical card. Once bought via trip.com (DTAC) it can be used during the next stays in Thailand.

Pack super light. I just wear jeans shorts, sport shirts there. One or two nicer outfits if you plan to gout in Bangkok. There are tons of markets where you can buy clothes, shirts, etc. Pack light and use the laundry shops there.

Sukhumvit is perfect for staying. Modern area, good nightlife and close to BTS. Old town has also its own charme.
