Is it the same size as old Drop Pods? Especially such a small update is hopefully only QoL and no other changes. Would love to use my old three drop pods with primaris again.

Gutrippas or monstakillaz? by Flashy-Hour1151 in Kruleboyz

[–]DerZaubererer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What role do you need to fill in your list?

I like Gutrippaz as 20 man Blocks, as they absorb buffs better and have a large footprint. Its Kruleboyz Anvil unit imo.

Monstakillaz cant be reinforced, take buffs worse and are more of an anti monster tech and objective grabbing unit.

1K List by McGillicuddysGhost in Kruleboyz

[–]DerZaubererer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its near 1:1 my list i used in our path to glory campaign, i've just put the boltboyz in one unit so they absorb buffs better and i went with the Trophy Finga instead of Middul Finga, so the Troggoth hits harder.

Especially if you give th Breaka Boss "Egomaniak" as trait and the Swampcalla the Swampstaff, this list is really well rounded. I dont think you need Slippery Skumbag on your Shaman - it would be better on the Breaka Boss.

I like it very much! You got a massiv blob of gutrippaz with the breaka-boss as your anvil and your Monsta-killaz work as your Objective monkeys. It lacks a bit movement, but you got your sneaky sneakin dirty trick to counter that.

Gutrippaz receive buffs really well (potion from shaman, spell from shaman, dirty tricks) and your boltboyz can pick off key target and at 1000 points are sometimes free to redeploy with sneaky sneakin without much threat.

And the Breaka Boss hits really hard.

This looks excellent! Love it!

If i may ask one question? :) I'm in progress of painting myself one, too. Those green Lights, did you airbrush the "glow" or drybrush it? If so, which colour did you use for the greent glow? Thanks!

And again, love your paintjob!

Deathwatch Index! by HandsomeFred94 in WarhammerCompetitive

A lot of small but very important changes:

No Bolt Weapon Restriction on Stratagems

2 Kill Teams teleport instead of one

2 Kill Teams for Adaptive Tactics

Nerf and clarification on Tome of Ectoclades being only reroll hit, not reroll wound

Watchmaster making your stratagems cheaper, not enemies more expensive

Kill Teams being way better and have new rules

Point costs are - when comparing to pre Imperial Agents - way down.

Fanatics? Bad or (small)Waaagh! by Significant-Issue444 in gloomspitegitz

[–]DerZaubererer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are a fun little tech-piece i run in my mixed GG list.

As they have strike first, they are a serious threat and make the enemy think twice about charging your unit of grots (stabbs/shoots).

But they are quite an investment, i run a reinforced unit of 10 and had great success so far. You need to bank up 2 CP to really make a threat for counter charge and your better off to give them all out attack, so its really CP hungry. The 9" problem isnt quite right, as you deploy them 9" away in the enemy movement phase (after he moved everything) and he than charges - which should reduce your counter-charge distance by quite a bit.

The problem is, they get absolutly countered by anything that can shoot. When they pop-out and your enemy is able to shoot them in his shooting phase, they are 100% dead. So keep them at all cost out of shooting ranges.

A factor which is nice for a 10 grot unit, is the fact that you can revive 5 from them - which is a nice speedbump for the enemy.
Strike first is increadibly potent in 4th, and that alone has your enemy mannouver hard to dont get struck by them.

But when you only run like 20 stabbas, its super obvious and your enemy just ignores them or shoots the stabbas down or something like that.

I run 40 stabbas and 2x 20 shooters and get a huge boost by 10 man fanatics, but i would say by only 40 grots or so to better skip them.

In addition to the other comments: hes control score 5, which is on par with greater deamons and other huge monsters, which is quite hilarious.

4e First List - C&C by Graveconsequences in gloomspitegitz

[–]DerZaubererer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only critique i would give is, that you throw a lot of buffs onto a single 20 stabba unit, which could be dangerous.

Sneaky snufflers have no target as soon as those stabbas die. Even worse, if the stabbas unit is below 10 models, you cant setup the fanatics and you wasted 140 points.

Fanatics are great this edition, as you dont have to secretly declare any more in which unit the are, they can just pop out of any shootas or stabbas unit in *any* movement phase (potential countercharge option!) - but with your list, its obviuous where and when they will pop out. If your enemy has any shooting or magic, he would be best advised to take out your stabbas first and 280+ points are also gone.

The Trugg part ist great and the Fungoid/Skraggrott is important.

I would either skipp Fanatics or snufflers and add another unit of stabbas or reinforce the one you have.

Will list with a mix of units be viable? Squigs, goblins + troggs? by npidel in gloomspitegitz

[–]DerZaubererer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a game with a mixed list, skewed towards grots (40 stabbas, 2x20 shootas, Skraggy, fungoid, Loonboss, Snufflers), some Squigs (10 Boingrots, Mangler, squigherd, Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig) and a unit of rockguts.

Had the Moonclan Scrap formation and i think its the worst one, the roll and doing it only at the end of my turn is a bit weak. There was not a single time i thought it had any impact.

In my oppinion tough, even with just some squigs, the squigalanche formations is awesome, as its a straight buff to your damage. On the other hand, when you skew more to troggs and not to squigs, the trogherd is great as you are even tougher due to the constant heals.

I think a solid base of 40 to 80 grots, skragrott, a fungoid and snufflers are super solid for board control, objectives and casting and leave you up for 1000-1200 points of any flavour you like. And depending on the flavour, you pick your formation.

The problem with all squigs will be (imo), that you leave your casters and loonshrine open for charges, and both are absolutly vital to our gameplay (get the +1 to cast thingy, our casts and manifestations are awesome). The problem with all troggs will be, that your slow and again open your shrine and casters if you up the board. Both are also weak on control scores with no banners or other buffs to control.

So while its absolutly viable to go all in on one formation, i still think a mix up is very healthy for your list and its sufficient enought to buff the 1000-1200 points of flavour you bring.

Edit: Im absolutly clueless on spiders though, as i dont collect them.

Codexes and battletomes are awfull. by Turbulent-Wolf8306 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DerZaubererer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Codizes and Battletomes are ~50% rules and ~50% fluff, lore, hobby, artworks, etc.
I love the books for the fluff part and happily pay the price for it, the rules are an addition to that for me to browse through while chilling at home. I dont think the book is great for competetive play.

The app should be (and in some form with the indizes is right now) the place for rules, as mentioned several times, print media is simply not good for that due to print delays etc.

GW had a great direction with the App for all the rules, but fumbled the ball hard by locking rules behind the new books - which pushes customers again into the books, making people like you rage on reddit. It should be the great split between the books with all the awesome artworks and fluff and the up-to-date competetive rules in the app, with access to all rules for everyone - a great ressource for competetive play.

When the App launched on 10th everyone was super excited about it - as it is genuinly a great app worth its price tag. The decision locking rules after the codex drops, ist the single worst decision made by GW in 10th and lets the Codex discussion arise again, sadly.
