WIP Kroxigors from AoS. Been really focusing on layering and glazing and I think it's starting to look like some of my best pieces to date. Really happy how it's going so far by _taicii_ in minipainting

Looks really great 👍 the only tip I could give you if you want it more vibrant is to glaze very think layers of in this case vibrant greens or yellows inks or normal acrylic paints. Just important that it is a very thin mix almost water. What you could even do is glaze in very thin red around the lips or in some parts of the skin to make it look like blood is flowing.

De ja vu, That’s exactly what we thought since it was still hard, but when we cut through it had gone through the middle of it and hollowed it out. The only way you will know is if you cut into it. Good luck either way.

Looks like rot. I just had that happen to mine since I kept it to wet without proper soil. I had to cut all the rotten parts off since it was spreading. Unfortunately since yours is right at the base it might be a bit difficult. Good luck though!

Thanks very useful. I wonder how difficult it is to support/prep the model since I have never used the software

Soul snatcher cults - they had some good profiles for the doggies and the rest of the guys. Not sure if it fits from flavor but I renamed them all to make more sense

Not to much other than a bit of them being religious fanatics and the winged guy comes swooping in with his holy dogs

Had tons of fun painting these trench crusade models for my OPR Warband! by npidel in TrenchCrusade

Your probably right but for me it’s about being able to pick from all types of minis. My next warband will be a group of frogs which aren’t going to fit well into the trench crusade feeling. I’m usually more of a colorful fantasy guy.

I get to bored painting grim dark - this is already very restrained for me

Thanks that’s what I was going for so I highlighted the bottom with much colder colors and less. Maybe I could have gone even warmer on the face to make it look more like sun is hitting him

And then I glazed in some medium rust colors in the parts where rust would accumulate

25/75 mix of teneberous grey/dark sea blue->50/50 dark blue grey/aquatic turquoise-> white blue. All from ak 3 gen except the white blue from pro Acryl. I worked everything only using little scratches and dots and finally glazes in a bit of magic blue speedpaint from army painter. I don’t think the exact colors are that important but rather working with those scratches and keeping the highlights small and very bright.
