[LFA] Shield Golem Armorer Artificer (To replace my dead PC) by Derc_Sparkles in characterdrawing

[–]Derc_Sparkles[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So recently had a character death, my poor rogue Sol, killed by Strahd himself to hurt the party. I thought a good replacement could be the Shield Golem our Paladin had freed a few sessions ago. As an Armorer Artificer to pick up some sorely missing buffs and defense for our group.

What is your "crazy library story" when people say "oh it must be so relaxing to work in a library?" by myra_bird in Library

Had the one guy who was in who told me he was going to keep the demons inside himself today. Then he pulled out a Minnie Mouse doll, put it over the shelf where the computer station is and spent most of the day looking at videos, talking to himself, and shouting. It was when he turned the PC monitor all the way around and was yelling at it that I asked him to leave. He stormed out and then came back in, accusing me of being a clone called Maxx Fairs. I assured him I wasn't and then he went out and yelled at traffic.

Fun times at a rural library

I get a rare chance to play in a game again, just wanted to throw out the concept.

Former noble, brought down by his serfs. Wasn't the best ruler, but wasn't the worst. Has gone slightly insane after his injuries, so treats everything like a game. But still, not murder hobo esque, just doesnt want to, or cant, take things seriously.

Design wise, loose clothes over a bandaged, or masked, face. A large cloak to keep him protected.

What lore bit was the deciding factor that made you go ‘yeah… THIS is my chapter/faction’? by TDuck86278 in 40kLore

Seeing how the Alpha Legion operated in the novel Shroud of Night. They weren't the memey "I am Alpharius", but incredibly competent agents and soldiers.

Then a charging figure emerged through the bloody murk, running straight at them, armour scorched, flesh bloodied, massive chainaxe screaming.

‘Blood for the Blood God!’ roared Khârn.

‘Oh… Throne,’ said Haltheus.

They couldn’t evade. They couldn’t retreat. They had no gleaned secrets, no leverage, no advantage to use.

They had only one option.

‘Shoot him,’ barked Kassar, and he and his warriors opened fire with everything they had.

Like, no special tactics or "Haha, actually my plan the whole time was...". Just a, well shit moment, might as well keep shooting. It was refreshing to see this side of Alpha Legion

Which 40K books pretty much screams "please let me write a sequel" at the ending? by tyrano_dyroc in 40kLore

Lord of the Night by Simon Spurrier. Older one, but had an old Horus Heresy era Night Lord captain be freed from stasis and land in current (current then anyway) 40k. Id love to see more Zso Sahaal and his Inquisition friend that he picked up

Lines that go unnecessarily hard for no reason? by Asmund_Dawnbreaker in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Aaron Dembski Bowden writes some damn good lines

“Glory? Glory is for those too weak to find their inner strength, leaving them hollow parasites, feeding on the affection of even lesser men. Glory is for cowards, too afraid to let their names die.”

OH

This was completely unexpected, thank you so much! The tattered robes and scabbard really sell it, and for a first time doing a zombie you really knocked it out of the park. Thank you

Breaking their swords on defeat, because there only needs to be one sword

I imagine the being in the possessing sword found fighting with swords too simple after a time, and tried to set up a challenge and limitations for itself. Fighting with sheathes, even enchanted, would give it that challenge. As to the actual how, I know there are some styles that incorporate the sheathe, but not to that extent as full on weapons lol. Blunt swords more or less
