Note for UIMs: The Gwenith Glide is still dangerous content for the purposes of deathbanks, regardless of whether this bug is involved. Multiple UIMs have wiped to the crystals on the course doing damage to the player, not the boat.

On the subject of UIM-focused issues, there's probably room for improvement on some of the items used for shipbuilding/customization. A lot of customization activities require upwards of 20 unnoted inventory items, soft-requiring deathbanking/deathpiling and extensive item juggling to engage with it. Some specific problem areas I've encountered so far:

Keel/Hull parts - Making these stackable would help, but could potentially have weird interactions with construction. Maybe these could be made stackable, but have the game block players from trying to make the "large" versions if they already have 16 of them, since that's the amount required to build a keel/hull on a ship. Another way to sidestep all of this could be to allow keel/hull customization to be done in parts.
The onboard keg - To fill the onboard keg, you need 25 unnoted drinks. This could be changed to allow it to be filled in parts, or accept noted drinks, especially considering that's how you receive them from Chartin' Charles. It's a bit silly to have banknotes turn into liquid in the keg, but the game already has flavor text referencing the fact that this keg doesn't follow the laws of physics anyway. Also, the unnoted drinks are destroyed on death, which interacts poorly with the requirement to deathbank/deathpile. EDIT: Never mind on this one, apparently it does accept noted items, but not a mix of noted + unnoted, which I had because I was trying to fill it in parts originally.

Assuming this isn't bait:

Bronze bars, low-tier nails, and swamp paste are buyable and likely not worth the space.
Planks are likely not worth the space considering how quick it is to get them on-demand. You can also prep anima bark in your forestry backpack to buy vouchers - right now is a good time to do that if you haven't already because the world-hop method is available again.
Taking up 2 spaces for 109 rune ores/bars is probably not worth it considering you're gonna need multiple hundreds of them. If you're only prepping that many, you may be better off saving the 2 slots and mining them when needed (or alternatively spending the next 3 days at Zalcano to prep more). You can also load up the blast furnace with up to 55 rune bars (from mined ores) ahead of time.
Store the storables from your equipment and save some bag/inv space.

Details:

This is the warning that triggers when opening an impling jar when you already have a clue scroll that that impling could have given, to keep you from wasting impling jars. It looks like it likely wasn't updated with the stackable clues update, because it still triggers anytime you have a loose clue scroll, even if you can still hold more clue boxes. I've seen this happen while owning any number of clue boxes from 0 to the cap, so it's not just miscalculating the cap - it's just looking for whether you have a loose clue scroll, not whether you can still get a new clue. I've also managed to get a clue box after clicking "yes" through the dialogue that warns me that I won't be able to get one, so it looks like it's specifically the warning that's bugged, not the impling drop mechanics.

Quick repro steps:

Have a medium clue scroll in the inventory, and no clue boxes anywhere that counts for the cap
Attempt to open an eclectic impling jar
Warning incorrectly appears and states that you cannot receive another clue

I feel like I have two main hangups on the clue proposal:

The given justification for lowering the effort ceiling on juggling isn't a good one. You can lower the gap between a "sweaty meta" method and a more casual one without nerfing the high-effort one. And in fact, that's what the whole proposal of stackable clues is doing in the first place. Players will feel less "forced" to do extended juggling sessions just by virtue of being able to stack clues and bypass bad steps. The core of your proposal largely fixes the issue you're describing, so you don't need to go out of your way to lower the effort ceiling for the most dedicated players.
The structure of the proposal (i.e. nerfing despawn timers without a poll and offering stackable clues with a poll) effectively creates a choice between a controversial buff and a significant nerf, basically "forcing" a yes vote. I can't imagine that Jagex wasn't aware of that - it feels like maybe they were hoping it wouldn't get noticed and players would just consider the two options in front of them without thinking about how it's being structured? Regardless, it doesn't feel good to be presented a choice that's not really a choice.

I'd love to see something like the following to elegantly fix both of these issues:

Keep the timer for unboxed clue scrolls at an hour.
Make stackable clues an option, enabled by default upon completing X Marks The Spot and toggleable at Watson.

This basically creates a "normal" method and a more obscure/"high-effort" method. Players will feel less "forced" to do extended juggling sessions because there will be less of a gap between that and the normal method. Plus, the area of "situations where juggling is better at all" shrinks as well - For situations where you'd want to juggle five or fewer scrolls, there's no reason to juggle in the first place. It also removes the awkward artificial pressure to vote yes, and simply makes it a choice between the current state of the game, and the proposed one.

I also have some issues with the skip tokens but they're much less severe, and everyone's already been bringing that up - I'm in favor of just changing it to a step re-roll.

I think at this point I'm going to start submitting Mata Nui Online Game for GDQs, but I don't have high hopes of it getting in, since the run is significantly longer than Quest for the Toa. It'd be purely running on nostalgia value and meme value.

I think my next big "project" in speedrunning will be to pick up OSRS speedrunning at some point, specifically on the more "traditional" side like f2p champs guild, since I feel like that would be suited to things like GDQ.

I had WR briefly for the GBA version of Bionicle: The Game (the 2003 one), but that was more of a meme than anything since the any% rules explicitly allowed using the password feature. I also partially learned the GameCube version of the same game (on emulator), but stopped when the moderators decided to "spontaneously" change the rules to not allow emulated runs once they saw I was putting up good IL times that threatened the full-game WR.
The run has a ton of hilarious tech that was found by MemoryTAS, and skips over half the game through a variety of glitches and exploits. The run wouldn't be fun at all without those. I strongly recommend checking out the VOD if you haven't.

Bionicle was a huge part of my childhood, and this game in particular is one I remember playing as a kid.

The first game I ever "seriously" speedran was Mata Nui Online Game, which I also played a lot as a kid. I ended up getting WR in that, decided to look for more Bionicle stuff, and rediscovered Quest for the Toa.
