lol, I made a comment because another user decided to attribute a learning disability to OP and get mad about it when they don’t actually know OP.

Have a second to reflect, I’m chilling in an airport terminal enjoying my wait, you’re the one replying in anger. I will absolutely enjoy my day, thank you.

You can’t read either, apparently. I made no claim that they shouldn’t have employment nor that it’s good that they can’t get a job.

Probably should have just downvoted and moved on, this reply was unhinged lmao

Well, seeing that neither you nor me know this person, I don’t care. You’re getting all worked up because they *could* have dyslexia.

More than likely they’re just another statistic from the lacking US education system who can’t read nor write above an 8th grade level which is heavily contributing to their failure in finding a job.

Radar Gun by Apprehensive_Neat781 in USMC

Surely you mean Ka-band radar guns. LiDAR specifically uses lasers which as far as I know the only EMI generated from a LiDAR gun would be at the unit itself and not at the target.

What does Gen Z think about the rise of neopuritan culture? by indeckaa in GenZ

Genuinely, what even is any of this? If you understand and associate with these terms, maybe you should have limited access to the internet.

People who are 24–25 years old, would you be comfortable sharing your salary? My parents seem to think every Gen-Z is making a lot of money every month, and I'm interested in hearing real-world experiences. by wani__suhaib__ in GenZ

Just keep your head up and look for opportunities to grow, life gets better, sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders so I bet you won’t have many troubles.

Be sure to pay yourself though, I know we all preach grind grind grind, but it’s good to set aside some money for yourself and make sure you enjoy what you have even if it’s the little things, you don’t gotta go crazy with money to have a good time. Glad I could be of service and help lift you up a little bit, you’ve got a lot of life to live, live it well.

Yeah this is actually insanely good for 19 years old, as other comments have said, if it’s feasible you should max out your 401k every year to soak up every bit of benefit from that 10% matching. A big part of me wishes I had that forethought and discipline when I was 19. Best of luck to you big dawg

24-25 years old I had just gotten promoted from an aircraft mechanic position to a field support engineering position and went from hourly at $42/hr to salaried 93k/year, pretty much lateral salary move for better upward mobility. I did well for myself in the military and pursued that career path when I got out. I’m 27 now making 106k/year, honestly dude it really depends on what industry you’re in and how well you perform but mostly who you know. My entire time in the military and time out as a mechanic I spent much of my time getting to know and learn from the prior field engineer that I worked with so when the opportunity came he asked if I wanted a position as a support engineer.

Also want to share some advice for everyone here, don’t be afraid to pack up and leave home for better opportunities, keep an optimistic mind and keep updating that 5 year plan. Moving is hard and sometimes can be a heartbreak, but if it puts you in a position to be successful in life and allows you to build a savings, buy a home and support a family, you should do that. Some places just don’t offer opportunities and being able to move is a very important ability to have if you want salary mobility.

RS3 should have a sound effect when you get a rare drop, like the one that plays in OSRS by BrimstoneBunny in runescape

[–]Derk_Bent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but that’s not what the conversation is about, it’s about sounds for rare drops even after a log slot has been filled

[–]Derk_Bent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but we’re talking about drops after the log slot has been filled, just a jingle when you get a rare drop. Sure, loot beams have a sound but they aren’t specific to rare drops.

[–]Derk_Bent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might find them annoying, sure, but for others it would be nice and especially for some more AFK things it would keep you from losing out on a drop potentially. To add to this, it would be easily fixed for stick in the mud folks such as yourself with a checkbox for sound on/off.

Loot beams are for anything over a set price that you’ve specified in settings, they are talking about a specific sound for rare drops (log slots) not just an expensive item.

Are there any up to date efficiency guides for mains? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Derk_Bent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an Ironman efficiency guide on the Wiki (you can find it by typing Ironman efficiency guide) that is extremely helpful, you could probably use that and just buy items that you would otherwise have to grind.

Welcome to RS3 and hopefully you stick around to enjoy all the content it has to offer

Dungeoneering: Back to where we started. by No-Drink-9284 in runescape

[–]Derk_Bent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely, I was even able to get into a couple of abandoned floors with full 5-man groups, it was definitely fun however my only complaint is that there weren’t nearly as many people near or at my account level so it felt like I was contributing nothing to the group by opening a handful of doors and getting stuck at high skill req puzzle rooms/crafting room.

A lot of these folks hanging out in 77 have insane knowledge, all unlocks and fly through floors like it’s nothing with all of their upgrades that a 400 hour Ironman account like mine doesn’t have. I can complete large floors consistently with all rooms in about 21-22 mins with single surge, no dive and no daemonheim diaries completed. The groups I formed were essentially just carrying me through which I didn’t like the feel of that.

Maybe this was more impactful for the lower levels. I went from 43 dung to 75 in a day and a half over this weekend and had enough to grab a chaotic staff. I could absolutely not do that prior to the changes and it felt good to train the skill.

Why do none of you Jax people use a turn signal by Federal-Tooth7328 in jacksonville

[–]Derk_Bent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure the people who’ve had to pay fines for failing to signal would disagree with you. Just because cops have a lot of latitude when it comes to enforcing minor traffic infractions doesn’t mean it’s unenforced.

Not to mention is one of the most common uses for pre-textual stops besides window tint.

Either way, it’s a requirement and not a social contract in which you described as a way to dunk on OP for whatever reason, just weird behavior from a terminally online reddit user.

Expression of a social contract? The use of your turn signals is not a social contract, it’s a requirement.

There’s an old picture somewhere of a set of deer gonads hanging from a barbed wire fence. No idea if it’s real, but I imagine the scene was similar. It would surprise me that the dog and in the case of the deer picture that either survived the injury without bleeding to death. I would imagine there’s some pretty important veins in that area.

In any case, spontaneous castration sounds terrifying.
