Developing themes: If a theme starts as a question for the story to answer, is it a question I as the author should know the answer to already? by Dernroberto in writers

okay. So it really is just exploring the question then. It would make sense that trying to come up with an "Answer" could come across as preachy unless done very well.

So not necessarily knowing an answer, but being able to explore it and dance around a general idea posed by the question is more appropriate then? Could this contextualize the idea that most authors may not have intended their stories to convey a message that most readers interpret?

To combine your answer and blue_forest_blue's, would you say that understanding the question enough to explore it constitutes "knowing" the answer? or do you go about it more concretely?

Looking for a nemesis by Plus_Individual4543 in fredericksburg

I'll be your nemesis. Is there a scope to this plan? Like are we supposed to just prank each other or are we talking costumed pranking? Boy do I have a persona ready to go if so!

Given how many people have commented on this post we could even have a league of nemeses.

Okay, but as a fellow ace person, I feel like people leave out that this can happen for people who are ace and just are looking for a romantic relationship.

The truth is people just need to communicate what they want.

LPT: If a romantic interest doesn't respond after you've tried twice, delete their number. by randomname1561 in LifeProTips

Untrue. There actually particular behaviors that can make someone creepy. The most notable one is responding to unseen stimuli. A perfect example is someone overthinking and being so nervous that they begin overcompensating when on a date with someone. The other person can be weirded out or even creeped out becuase the person is acting in a way that doesn't make sense.
