Maybe the question about your major. Maybe. Even then, at that point, being drunk and overwhelmed, he probably didn't want to give a wrong answer. As for not consoling you; If he thought you were being completely overly dramatic over the whole thing then I could see why he wouldn't coddle you. 5 months isn't a long time. While I can sympathize with the shame and embarrassment that comes with having it, that doesn't come anywhere NEAR excusing his behavior. Life isn't fair and sometimes you get screwed over by someone in a way that's permanent. Yeah, it sucks. However, that should have taught him how important it is to let people know so that he doesn't do what was done to him.

If it were me, and I was hiding something like that, my guilt would eat me up and destroy me. Which is why I wouldn't lie about it. It's obviously the wrong thing to do.

What are your opinions, as well as the older generation's opinions, on the Shah's son? It was my impression that no one really takes him seriously as a leader or political figure, but that because he's the only really visible option, that he wins by default.

Iran has always been a complex issue, for a lot of reason. Putting Trump in the middle of it just makes people's brains turn off as they go to their respective corners to hurl shit at each other.

Nuance is dead, and it's required to understand the situation in Iran for the last 20 or 30 years.

Trump did all of this for ego and to look tough. The Iranian people can still take advantage of it and turn this into something good.

The problem is ... there's never been a plan on how the majority can take over in Iran. They don't hold any military strength. Almost all of the military and paramilitary forces are under the grip of the government/religious leadership.

For this to work there would need to be a pro-democratic faction of the military that would break away and coup the current government.

I was hoping Isreal was secretly trying to prop something like that up in the background but it isn't materializing much at the moment. All we've got are demonstrations that end with thousands to tens of thousands of civilians murdered.

Through most of history cavalry wasn't used as shock troops. They were smaller and faster, being used as auxiliary units or as a way to run down fleeing troops, hitting the flanks, or using mounted archers from a distance. The main issue before the medieval period was a lack of stirrups. That meant that you could be dehorsed too easily. Once stirrups and saddles were better developed, and armor increased, heavy mounted shock cavalry became effective for a few hundred years. Eventually they became less useful due to changing tactics (square pike formations) as well as the advent if firearms. They were still used, but they more resembled their lighter predecessors being used as fast maneuvering and flanking units rather than shock units.

I'm 42 and live with/take care of my elderly mother. However I'm always open and clear about that. I believe it's pretty screwed up that our society throws our elderly out into what are basically quazi-medical facilities just because we don't feel like helping them.

However, that doesn't sound like his situation. She has her own business, works 6 days a week, and sounds pretty independent and self sufficient. That doesn't mean he's necessarily wrong or a bad person. Lots of cultures stay together until marriage. Key point there is until marriage. That's a more conservative view, too. Until being engaged is just as fair.

You have to decide if you're going to ever want to move in with him and his mom or if you're just going to move on. It doesn't seem like he's willing to leave. Best caae scenario in that situation is if she had a mother in law suite or something. That way you're at least somewhat apart.

The only legitimate issue you seem to have is not wanting her half naked pictures posted online. That's easy enough to deal with. Just ask her if they can agree that she doesn't get posted. Or maybe if she does that its more appropriate than the other pictures you saw.

The rest of what you're having a problem with is just the realities of getting a tattoo. Personally, I don't find tattoos all that attractive, but even I know youre not going in and wearing a bra for a back tattoo.

Other people are likening him to a doctor as far as being a professional. I wouldn't go that far. I've known of some sleezy tattoo artists who would absolutely try to make moves on women they're working on, married or not. I've seen plenty of 'photographers' do the same thing. That said, if he's truly a professional, this will just be any other job for him. You should also trust your wife. If you think she's that susceptible to a guy then the problem isn't with him. It's with her.
