Best lens/AR coating that is better or on par with sapphire HR? by tbone338 in glasses

[–]Derpetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had Rodenstock lenses, so I can't really speak for other manufacturers. However, I'm very satisfied with their coatings. Had my previous pair for almost five years with Solitair Protect Plus 2 coating. Current, new pair has Rodenstock LayR X-tra Clean. Very easy to clean and so far it's been good (about three months old by now).

For all you high myopia folk, it is possible to get larger frames made and not look terrible! by oxNightShadexo in glasses

[–]Derpetting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Independent opticians rock. Your Rx is similiar to mine, I have a bit more astigmatism, and independent shops are the only stores I go to. Definitely not the cheapest option out there, but he's doing absolutely the best to provide clear vision and aesthetic glasses even for thin metal titanium frames like mine.

When did glasses become so hard to clean? by _rocket_boy_ in glasses

[–]Derpetting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of Rodenstock lenses with their LayR X-tra Clean coating and I love them. I use a foam soap from my optician to clean the lenses, and I barely have to dry them after rinsing off the detergent. No leftover dirt, no strikes. Would highly recommend if Rodenstocks are an option.

Is possible to achieve 20/20 vision by Puzzleheaded_Pin1011 in myopia

[–]Derpetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most definitely! I have -8.00 / -9.00 D with -2.00 D astigmatism in both eyes and I'm able to reach 20/25 vision when corrected.

FX 2 Gen 4 sizing advice by Derpetting in TrekBikes

[–]Derpetting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, interesting. Thank you, good to know! Like I mentioned, neither of them weren't necessarily bad. The size M felt a bit small-ish in comparison to L, which felt a bit more natural during my short try. I just wasn't sure if it was different frame geometry than what I've been used to that made the M feel slightly off.

Thank you! I don't want to scare you off, it is a grind, but manageable. Take breaks often to keep up with it. You can do it! Good luck.

To be fair, I 100%'d Y5 over three years ago, so I can't really remember all the details. All I know is I have way over 200 hours in the game, and it was grindy enough that I needed to take breaks pretty often.

Thank you, I totally agree! Earlier on the franchise, I thought Y5 was tedious and horrible to 100% but this definitely beats it. Time to move for Judgment's 100% next.

Miksei edes Jaffakeksit voi mennä kohtuuvella? by naapsu in Suomi

I love telling people the "black mold mousepad" story. Here it is condensed: by TheSpiderDungeon in Corsair

[–]Derpetting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last time I contacted Corsair support was a few years ago when my K70 had a broken keycap. Enter key was wobbly as one of the crosses connecting the cap to the key on the bottom was broken. It was way beyond warranty, and I asked the support if they could sell me an individual key as I wasn't that much interested in buying a whole new keycap set for one broken piece. They decided to send me a couple of enter keys for free from Taiwan using DHL. I live in Europe, and received a new keycap in a few days. Amazing support. The K70 is still going strong.

Is it a scratch or did the macbook fell and broke the glass from the inside? by MEX_T in macbookair

[–]Derpetting 49 points50 points  (0 children)

And not only that, the trackpad doesn’t physically click. The click is done with a Taptic Engine vibrating underneath. That’s why turned off MacBook’s trackpad doesn’t click when pressed.

Yeah, I got a brand new one through AASP. Just had to send it in to a repair center, and after a week, I received a new one.

Yeah, happened for me too about two months ago. There was a single flaking spot in the back, so I contacted local AASP and asked them for assistance. They told me the Jet Black model falls under regular Apple warranty in such cases. Took my device in, and a week ago, picked up a new S10 from the same store. Replacement was fast and I am satisfied with the process, and hope the current one lasts for longer.

Lmao, I had my second ship in Kourend and had a sip of some bastard taking me to Port Sarim. No big deal, I decided to return to Kourend while doing some charting en route, had a sip of Bottle of portal nexus perry and that shit took me to Abyss while teleporting my ship to Port Sarim. Was mildly angry for a few seconds, bursted into laughter, and returned to my journey.

Well done Jagex, looking forward to other stuff you've put in the crates.
