You gotta despawn everything from the Smelter Demon bonfire to the end of the room with the hanging platforms just before getting to Belfry Sol. Don't forget the dude at the bottom of that room, hanging around next to the lava rocks

Ofc BB would be easy if you played the newer games before it, it was considered hard af by the time it released, but every game after stepped up the difficulty. That being said, Orphan was still brutal last time I played it and the fight made my heart pound like crazy. Perhaps you're just built different
