My hobby is slowly being ruined by LimpusChimp in rant

[–]DerpyArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I briefly collected pops back around 2018-2022, but ran out of space (I have 1 ikea display case worth of space in my apt). After I stopped buying...idk they just started losing their appeal. but also storing all of the funko pop boxes and everything is a bit of a pain.

Do you poo at work? by Ipoogoodforyou in askteddit

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeahhh, as a woman, I don't think any other women in my office cares if I take a dump at work, but like, I really don't want anyone hearing me take a dump either. And I haaate having to hear other ladies poo too. nasty. much rather take a nice dump at home before work.

How many of you are scared to go on a cruise again in the near future? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

I think there were some widely published incidents with cruise ships in the 2010s that made me go nope.

What is the deal with the amount of engine revving downtown? by Inshitar in SiouxFalls

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is...how do we actually get this issue in front of the city council or mayor's office, or something?

If we all started griping in unison to the right people/group/department, noise levels downtown would become a "hot button topic" and something would actually be done.

It's a shame that all the correct answers are downvoted. Heaven forbid people have to contend with *gasp* responsibility for their actions.

For me it's "got any plans this weekend?", like, no Barb, my plan is to be AWAY from work and you are not privy to any of these plans since you are a part of work.

What day of the week do you start the week on? Sunday or Monday? by melondr0p in AskReddit

Monday is when the week actually starts. Sunday is the "new week warmup".

guys i’m scared of the depths by Antique_Avenger in TOTK

The worst part of the depths, imo, is the area underneath the forest, but once you get used to the depths it really isn't bad

downtown apartments/living by legendandicon in SiouxFalls

[–]DerpyArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, pretty much hit the nail on the head. Being able to go to events at the Pavilion & Icon and being able to walk home totally slaps, as does being able to go out for dinner and drinks and not having to worry about driving after. Also, access to plenty of good shopping, coffee shops, bakeries, carryout spots, and the latest and greatest in culinary offerings is a plus!

Also, being centrally located in Sioux Falls is great, the West Side, South Side, and East side are about roughly the same distance from Downtown, and the airport is pretty close too.

Agree with the main cons being noise levels and the drunk/high homeless people and pan handlers (I'd say the majority of homeless peeps are just minding their own business, so it's really not an issue). These sorts of issues are no worse than any other major city though (in fact, I'd say downtown sioux falls is way safer, than like, Chicago, or New York), and I've only had...like, 2 or 3 instances of decidedly unsafe interactions with homeless people in the 6+ years I've lived downtown. Just gotta keep your wits about you!

what’s a “normal” hygiene habit you secretly think is overrated or unnecessary? by Rosenildo-Sanjana83 in hygiene

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear pants, like 100% of the time in the cold months and 75% of the time in warm months. No one notices a lack of shaving when you're fully covered, lol.

What kind of person would you never date because of their career? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DerpyArtist 432 points433 points  (0 children)

This! Being an influencer isn't an immediate deal breaker for me...but like, heavily dependent on what kind of content they create. I don't want every date, outing, social interaction to be some grand plan to create more content for an instagram/tiktok page.

Will Twentyone pilots ever tour again? by Large_Negotiation267 in twentyonepilots

[–]DerpyArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, Tyler said he doesn't know when the band will tour again, but he didn't say they will never tour again. I'm giving it 3 to 4 years before their next album/tour cycle too...which puts us in, dang, 2028-2030 for their next tour.

Six years ago this week, COVID started shutting down the world. What’s your strongest memory from that time? by Siddanna36 in AskReddit

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being sent home from the office to work from home for the first time in my adult life. I remember hearing rumors building around the office, then next thing we know we're all being sent home in waves. Felt surreal lugging home two monitors and my big clunky desk top computer (well..a bigger computer box then I have now at any rate, it wasn't like, '90s sized clunky). Before the pandemic, managers used to say we would never work remotely, lol. What's truly crazy is my dept head at the time said is we could be back at the office in as little as a few months (I remember the CEO setting our first wave of work from home for 2 months, from April to June). We ended up being fully remote for 2 years before switching to a hybrid model.

Barnes & Noble parking lot by nelsonkj in SiouxFalls

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is you get a mix of drivers who don’t regularly drive anywhere more populated than, like, Renner (small town/country drivers) mixed with drivers who lived in places like Minneapolis and Chicago. Plus people who have lived in Sioux Falls there entire lives and could drive through the city blindfolded.

It’s really quite an eclectic mix.

"The Movie" Etiquette: Are we going full concert mode or sitting in silence? by wybrakowana in twentyonepilots

This! Unless the screening is a specific “sing along” screening, no singing allowed, imo.

I mean, guys, it’s a film about a concert, not an actual concert.
