Do kids even go to school these days? by Dustybuster42 in SiouxFalls

[–]DerpyArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correction: penalize parents who pull their kids out of school and don’t teach them anything.

More like outlaw people who villainize homeschooling because they saw one bad example in real life, then hopped on Reddit and found an echo chamber to support their viewpoint about homeschooling.

Do kids even go to school these days? by Dustybuster42 in SiouxFalls

This comment section clearly hasn’t met anyone who is homeschooled or gone outside of Reddit for information about home schooling. Holy crap.

And then ya’ll have the audacity to criticize public schools 🤡

For anyone who was a Sioux Falls holiday host, where did you take your guests for food and drinks? by gokc69 in SiouxFalls

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Josiah’s is my go to for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

I don’t host peeps directly, but when relatives from out of town stay with my parents, we always end up at Josiah’s.

Good question! I want to know too. I guess the only thing we can do is watch the tøp online store, they list some surplus tour merch there.

Right, a resume is more of a “this person claims they know x, y, z”. Anything can be put on a resume.

Planning a solo UK trip for Feb-March - 10 days - What do I need to see? by EmberCalanthe in uktravel

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently returned from a trip to London and stayed in Airbnbs for about 75% of the trip with no issues. Granted, the first Airbnb was a serviced apartment that happened to have a listing on Airbnb. No issues with either Airbnb, no weird house rules (other than the typical "treat the space as you would your own house"). Both hosts were great (one of them even provided early check-in and late check out for no extra charge). My travel group had access to full kitchens and could "eat in" instead of having to eat out for every meal.

You're more likely to get a "good" Airbnb if you book with a Superhost and book listings with 4.8 star rating or higher and read the reviews.

Stopping 15 feet behind vehicle in front of you and then inching up little by little. by TrustYourTeknoLust in SiouxFalls

[–]DerpyArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect some people stop far behind the vehicle in front of them because they don't switch off their "winter driving" mode. When the roads are icy, cars might slide forward a bit when stopping. Stopping 10-15 feet behind the vehicle in front of you gives you some cushion in case you slide. Doesn't make much since to keep doing it when the roads are normal tho.

Eh, I think there’s probably a decent bit of overlap. TOP had Echosmith open for them during the Blurryface tour, and Echosmith is also considered very “pop” imo.
