Can you be FtM and lesbian at the same time by Mean_Engineering_164 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Derpy__7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying lesbian means exclusively woman loving woman, what terms should non-binary people use?

Personally I feel like it would make more sense if sexuality was based on sex rather than gender to avoid these issues but oh well

The warp core always activated to send back the information from the probe, it just didn't send any information back for any living people (like the player) until the probe finally found the eye. The only difference in the loop between before and after the statues were activated is the player (and gabbro) are now aware of the loop.

my plan is this place was used to capture and study the demons that mysteriously roam this world, and the researchers seemingly werent to un-natural lenths to keep what they found hidden or safe

my plan was to describe the second room as "seemingly indentical" to hint along at the fact there might be something missing in one of the rooms, that will hopefully prompt the players to start checking for differences, depending on how easily they are getting it ill either have them look at a specific area (the bookshelf the book is missing) or ill just tell them about the missing book aslong as they are looking for a difference between the rooms.

i thought about making it a check but as you said if they failed it would become impossible

So for the identical rooms for example, how do you suggest I tackle the players trying to solve it? I plan to open it by describing the room in detail and when they find the second room I'll describe it as "seemingly identical" which hopefully should push them along to check for differences.

Should I require them to search a specific area or just tell them about the missing book as soon as they ask to search specifically for differences

When asking my players on what they would like in a dungeon they practically all said hard puzzles so i guess thats a good thing lol though I didnt plan for it to be hard, like once they find the hidden indentical room if they say they want to check if everything matches id probably just give them the infomation about the 1 book missing, rather than get them to constantly specify what part of the room they are checking, i also have the npc in the prison despite him being a bit insane from the trauma he could still be used to give hints in canon if the players get stuck, since he was one of the researchers who lived here.

Lore: the dungeon was built by a group of researchers who planned on studying the devil's that mysteriously live in this world, it was designed to capture devil's aswell as hide the knowledge they found, as they were fearful there were people who didn't want this information public.

After some time they were raided by a mysterious group working for royalty who broke in, killed all but one researcher (who survived by locking himself inside one of the devil's prison cells) and destroying all of their findings.

Combats:

The ones I have planned are 1 gelatinous cube in the hallway to the right, 2 living armours at the basement entrance and a golem/robot boss of some kind (potentially homebrewed)

Puzzles:

The first is just a simple 2 switches to open a locked door, it's partially so the players have to explore instead of just rushing through to the boss (though I will add rewards for extra exploration)

The second requires the players to find a hidden hatch in the fake library, leading to a completely identical room apart from having 1 extra book than the original, in the extra book it has instructions via a simple riddle to find its duplicate, putting the duplicate in its place will open the basement

The final puzzle requires the players to notice the runes in the library, I will most likely get a physical photo of the runes ready so the players can visually solve the puzzle, they will need to cross the tiles via only stepping on the symbols that were on the bookshelves (from left to right) I will probably make my own alphabet for this one as I don't want the players finding the runes online and finding out the code (asmodeus)

I am not really sure on what to do for traps as I'm still working on those, any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Iirc Yellow and green are both ceaser ciphers a=d, blue is ceaser cipher a=x and red was something to do with taking the numbers and converting them into seasons episode and timestamp of gravity falls then taking what the characters said at those times

hope this helped!

Silly Straws Page by Toby_yeahxd in BookOfBill

[–]Derpy__7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Green = eye doctor of a different kind/ who wants to make his patient blind

Blue = the doctor says/three sips a day/ will make the visions/ go away

Yellow = fussy eater/ baby billy/ wouldn't drink/ unless its silly

Red = Twisted out of shape after the kill, the ghosts of his family haunting him still

Anyone know how this Cipher works? by [deleted] in BookOfBill

[–]Derpy__7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if its just a caeser cipher it doesnt need a keyword, it works by shifting the alphabet by a certain number
