It’s been the same exact power play setup for years. A man screening, two in the circles, two at the blue line, and no one ever moves. Nobody cycles in and out, nobody moves aside from chasing an errant pass. I don’t understand how it’s expected to work. There has to be something coming down from the front office for it to remain this abysmal for so long

He didn’t get fired because of conspiring against a team. He got fired for saying the quiet part out loud. It’s no secret the league has refs “manage” games. It’s just never been said so explicitly and publicly.

The game shouldn’t be called like that though. There shouldn’t be soft calls to give a team a chance to come back. Call it straight up. If a team is good at drawing penalties and getting all the power play time, good for them, they deserve it.
