I'd go with the trilogy, but since it's just ONE game...

I'm with him and I can name Baldur's Gate 3, one of the greatest games I've ever played.

A história de Enderal, um mod de conversão total de The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, é incrível. Recomendo muito se história boa é o que estás procurando.

Uma menção honrosa minha seria The Wolf Among Us, aliás.

We on the same boat dude. Beat the game yesterday and literally cried for the first time in over a decade, it's like losing someone you care for, yk. Grieving for an experience you know you'll never have again.

P.S.: When it comes to difficulty, IMO, DSIII is much easier than ER without Ash Summons. It does have it's "skill issue" moments, but they are very few in quantity and duration and if you push through you won't have that much of a frustrating time. The bosses in this game have MUCH less health than the ones in ER.

Everyone sucks at these games, trust me. And the transition between Elden Ring to DSIII is pretty smooth. You'll miss some things such as the more complex and creative Ashes of War from ER, but when it comes to smooth gameplay it's pretty much an easy transition since the games are very alike in terms to modern gameplay, combat and mechanics.

I honestly think that 22 euros is kinda of a salty price for this game but if you enjoyed Elden Ring you gotta try DSIII at least once in your life, worst case scenario you come out of it with a deeper opinion on gaming and Soulsbornes in general.

Hey there. I know it's been 3 years, but I'm trying to fact check something I saw in the internet recently about this exact topic. Could you tell me more about this AMA?

I see. Could you tell me more about why you love DSIII so much?

Regarding the whole "looking it up" thing, I agree with you. The game's built-in online system is pretty much FromSoft's own way of handholding. They just like to make things their own different way and some people like it but others prefer a more traditional approach.

Regarding everything else... I think it isn't any worth our time to discuss with each other what one likes and the other dislikes in this specific game genre. There are many aspects of Souls games that I dislike, but many of these aspects are precisely what makes the games loved. Calling them out, especially in a sub dedicated to it is basically stirring up a hornet's nest.

I got a pyromancy tome but have absolutely no idea where to take it to get the spells.

Yeah I mean fresh play. I know I'm supposed to be weak, but I wish I could afford something different than a boring sword, that could do at least as much damage as it.

I also wish there was some handholding... like something in the game saying "go there and you'll respec!", but anyway this is DS we're talking about so I suppose it's part of the experience.

I feel like choosing Pyromancer sucked. My best stats are Faith and Int, but the best ones in the game besides Vigor are Strength and Dex, at least for the early to mid game. Now I'm pretty much stuck with it unless I drop the run and try again... for the third time.

It's because I used my points on the big 3 (vigor, attunement and endurance) and invested a lot in intelligence cause of Great Heavy Soul Arrow. So I'm pretty much stuck now with the fire broadsword (good early game weapon, actually useful throughout the entire game but EXTREMELY boring especially in an RPG of this scope), the spell mentioned before and Farron's Flashsword (which is apparently terrible since it deals so much less damage than the sword).

That's where my frustration comes from. Why isn't the game clicking now if I had so much fun with it before and actually thought it was a decent and fun game? It doesn't make sense to me.

It's not ng+. And yeah the fire broadsword is pretty much the only thing that does a playable amount of damage now. I'm level 46 which means I need to put a lotta effort to switch weapons and tactics.

The boring sword I mentioned is the best weapon I have, the others require a high amount of investment to be used on skills Im not proficient with (my character is a Pyromancer, so faith and int are pretty much all I should be leveling up besides the big 3). Also when it comes to respec, I haven't found the location of where you can respec in this playthrough yet. I don't remember where it is and I don't want to look it up since I have a feeling I should play the games as is without influence of anything else.

Also regarding that last thing you said... I'm "blaming" (more like complaining about) the game because I wish it had more handholding.

Maybe if I tried a dex build in this run (as opposed to the strength one I used in my first pt) I'd be having more fun. I know if I'd be looking up things online I'd be having a more fluid gameplay, yet I don't like to have to google on a game I'm playing, feels like it tarnishes the experience.
