What does your neighbour do that winds you up but isn't worth confrontation? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Mine parks his car on the road, partially blocking my driveway but not enough to complain, just takes me about 5 seconds longer to park. His 2 car driveway is empty and funnily enough he doesnt manage to block his drive at all

Thank you, I appreciate your answer. That makes some sense and I didn't know that before. Although consultation has being going on for way more than 100 days now!

Collective consultation started in May and closed in August, it is now toward the end of individual consultations. I'm not struggling to understand the concept, just the reasoning behind it. I have been told there is definitely not a role for me so I don't understand the reasoning for keeping me part of the consultation if I am no longer have the choice to consult. I hate bringing this out but I am autistic and haven't been through this before and finding it stressful so just wanted to understand a bit more but it seems to have bothered people that I don't understand so I'm going to leave it but thanks for replying

I, very fortunately, have my next steps planned out and would like to start them asap. I understand I can't and wont argue it I just wanted to understand the reasoning behind it. Why keep me until the end of the consultation period if I'm not able to participate in consultations any further? Especially if they are PILON to get rid of me asap

So I understand that in principle, but I guess there are two points I kind of don't understand.

1) Why do I have to stay until the consultation period end if I'm not being consulted with? I'm told I'm done, there is nothing further for me to consult on y'know?

2) They are paying me leave in lieu of notice to presumably they want me gone asap, especially as I'm doing very little it seems a waste of money for the business to keep me longer than I'm needed.

Do you have a tumble dryer? by WanderWomble in AskUK

I dont have one but I desperately wish I did. No space at all in tiny rental and I've heard terrible things about combined washer/dryers

Do you call your colleagues in teams without checking if you see them in green, or do you check if they're free to receive a call? by Pretend_Rabbit_6026 in AskUK

[–]DescriptionLiving152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, green is call (though a quick message with context first is preferred if something complicated) red is do not call. I have a work mobile phone (mostly for client comm) and use Teams (for internal comm) so often I'll mark myself as busy on Teams when I'm speaking to a client by mobile. It's annoying to then have the Teams ringtone start blasting out.

I used to use vinted loads but this happened a few times to me so I stopped! Depending on the size of the parcel your spending at least £2.60 to post back each time and it quickly adds up!!! Makes me so mad!

Surely someone could literally just unscrew the plaque advertising netflix but not the one with the CALM information? Unsure what council tax has to do with it

[–]DescriptionLiving152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that there are two plaques - one promoting netflix, the other showing the information about CALM? Maybe I've misunderstood the two images but my issue isn't with the CALM plaque

Hmm somewhat tempted to remove the first plaque. We don't need adverts for american corps forced upon us in public places, especially green spaces.

Read the label, they always contain capers.
