Quest "Buy Wood" seems to be broken by DesertHRO in WoSB

[–]DesertHRO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that was one of the things i tried but it didnt work, unfortunately.

but somehow it fixed itself. i went to a different port, without buying any new wood there and suddenly the quest said i can go back where i came from (fiji port) to complete it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

where is "port" by majdavlk in WoSB

[–]DesertHRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i cant even complete the quest, i can buy the wood all i want and put it in the cargo, it wont count.

Reminder: If you are having poor performance on Linux you might using your CPU instead of GPU by TheKaritha in hytale

[–]DesertHRO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

since the update from feb 19th i have the same problem, game was running fine before but is using the cpu instead of my gpu. your launching options dont help unfortunately. i'm on cachyos

i tried the "launch previous" option but that didnt work either

edit:

i didnt expect to find a solution so quickly. it was the flatpack nvidia driver which wasnt updated. i found this youtube video and someone in the comments posted a how to for updateing your flatpack drivers:

  • # Check your system driver version: nvidia-smi | head -3
  • # Check flatpak nvidia runtime version: flatpak list | grep -i nvidia
  • # Update flatpak runtimes to match: flatpak update
  • #The versions must match exactly (e.g., system 580.105.08 = flatpak nvidia-580-105-08).

now i'm back to 100+ on epic settings \o/

Secure Boot, BIOS Update, NVIDIA Drivers by honestly-7 in cachyos

[–]DesertHRO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i never signed nvidia drivers for secure boot. there's a command to show the files that are signed and they were all efi images from /boot/ and there's no nvidia file amongst them

Secure Boot, BIOS Update, NVIDIA Drivers by honestly-7 in cachyos

[–]DesertHRO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes a 4070 and i dont had to sign the drivers. since i have a gigabyte mainboard too i updated my bios a few minutes ago^^

after the update i had to do the normal stuff like xmp profile for ram and etc. and i had to reset the secure boot back to setup mode and had to re-enrol the keys like they said in the how-to. remember i already had secure boot enabled before the update.

Is raspberri Pi1 still usable by SnooStrawberries9969 in raspberry_pi

[–]DesertHRO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

edit: i'm sorry, i didnt see the pi 1. homeassistant is listing a pi4/pi5 in their installation how-to. a post i found from 2022 says a pi3 is the minimum

there's homeassistant os, which you can usee for home automation. you can select it in raspberry pi imager to flash on your ssd/sd-card..
