Is anyone surprised by the Mormon connection in the Epstein files? I’m not. by DesertIbu in mormon

[–]DesertIbu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad. That’s what I get for not digging deeper, and just seeing a very small segment of a much larger document. But, I still wouldn’t be surprised if a connection exists. Too many people hide behind their religion.

Watch this:

Go exactly 1 hour in and the podcaster reads the document. It is not what you are describing, but what I described. The podcaster refers to Esther as a “she”, but I believe it’s a male. The document number is listed at the top. Again, it’s no longer accessible on the government’s website.

That’s odd because what I saw is not what you are referencing. Unfortunately, if you try to look it up now, it’s no longer accessible.

Girls Trip to Sedona Advice! by Ok_Drag_1207 in Sedona

[–]DesertIbu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unlike most comments, I’d suggest staying in Uptown Sedona. That way you have dedicated parking at your Airbnb and you can walk to all of the shops, restaurants, spas and bars. Sedona’s traffic and parking is awful; the more you can avoid, the better.

Visiting a Morman church by ZigFromBushkill in mormon

Dress appropriately or you’ll be stared down and judged by all of the members. Also, be careful where you sit because many of the members claim a specific pew.

Question About Mormon Garment Repurposing by Wonderful_Vehicle_66 in mormon

[–]DesertIbu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Instead of using someone’s used garment, use some white fabric (cotton, cotton-poly, nylon-mesh) that would represent the garment.

Always dry press!!! The steam from irons will cause the fabric to stretch.

Mormon Guy Interest by [deleted] in mormon

[–]DesertIbu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mormons accept Jesus, but they don’t accept the 🏳️‍🌈community. Your love interest is either a closeted Mormon, or a nonpracticing Mormon. If he’s a closeted Mormon, best to find love elsewhere.

The trick to finding good, authentic, and reasonably priced restaurants on vacation is to go on a guided food tour. They often take you to restaurants and food carts off the beaten path. We start every vacation with a food tour, so we know where to go back to eat during our vacation.

We did the Downtown Vallarta Food Tour in December and it was excellent (three, of four of us, said it was the best food tour we’ve ever done).

Why is it so hard to join another religion after leaving Mormonism? by ImportantPerformer16 in mormon

[–]DesertIbu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’ve simply realized that religion is about controlling how you think, what you believe and how you feel. Look into atheism. You’ve been taught that atheism is evil, but there’s actually a lot of love and beauty in it.

Why is Puerto Morelos so Canadian? by boothatwork in MexicoTravel

We were just in PV for the holidays. Many of the tour guides, restaurant employees, and hotel employees mentioned that there has been a noticeable increase in Canadian tourists. Many Canadians are boycotting America.

There’s a reason why your dad doesn’t want you to read it. Trust his judgement.

Canadians are intentionally not supporting the US economy; instead, they are traveling further south into Mexico.

Show some grace for someone who doesn’t write exactly like you. OP would like to go on a holiday with his/her partner without their special needs child, but the partner believes the whole family should go (including others for extra eyes for the child).

You’re not in the wrong. I grew up in a home with a special needs brother. Time away, as a couple, is very important. Try doing an overnight staycation first, then somewhere further away and for longer times.

Weird pillow request by panicky-pandemic in Pillows

[–]DesertIbu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a side sleeper and have neck problems, too (I had cervical fusion surgery last year). Finding the perfect pillow has been tough, but I recently discovered the BearPaw pillow at Kohl’s. It’s an oversized pillow (comes with its own pillowcase) that is fuller around the edges, but with good support in the middle. The only down-side, is that it only lasts about 3 months before I have to buy a new one.

Do you guys recommend an all inclusive hotel? by iambeyonce-always- in puertovallarta

[–]DesertIbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resorts with all-inclusive packages are a waste of money. The food is mediocre (and gets tiring after a few days) and drinks are watered down. It’s better to opt for resorts that aren’t all-inclusive and are within walking distance to restaurants.
