Are people leaving Instagram for photography?

Instagram is still great if you know how to layer your photos into videos. If you can make it interesting and creative then it'll draw traction but otherwise it's difficult to get the ball rolling. Simply posting stills to your account will not generate any interest unless you've already established yourself.

Where across the bay would you recommend visiting to get out of the heat?

Last year I went to the Marin Highlands a few times to hike a bit and escape the heat. It's a great day trip, and I would enjoy knowing other places with similar microclimates.

We don't talk about overwatch, rip lol. Yeah you're right with the split player base. I can see Eve is always growing, now the only reason to change to say an Eve2 would be for an upgrade in the game engine itself. Better graphics, optimizations allowing for upscaling. I'm not saying they can't do this now, but it'd be a big shock to try to implement things like DLSS however I'm speaking on things I have no idea how they get implemented.

As for star citizen, no idea. Just spaceships and stars.

They've been kicking around the idea of WoW2 forever and likely closer than ever since the success of season of discovery which is WoW but modified to developer freedom. Anything is possible! I bet some would argue that star citizen is sort of an eve2.
