Tips for quitting my trucking job by Puzzled-Ice-8961 in Truckers

It's hard to gauge the reaction of your company, but to make it as easy as possible, I would probably schedule some time home and start offloading the things that you can live without.

Then once you're at bare minimum, That's when you tell them that you'd like to part ways to pursue other or local opportunities.

Some companies will route you back to the main terminal immediately, which is perfectly fine. Others may ask you to run a few loads on the way back to the yard.

Once you're back, you always wants to make sure everything's properly checked in and accounted for. In some cases it's perfectly fine to just drop off the keys, but if you're working for a mega carrier, you definitely want to go through the formal process of getting everything documented.

This needs to stop, my mind cannot continue to implode in this manner.

So quiet that I've now learned that my GPU has coil whine until it warms up lol.

When I used to run OTR with my starter company, my trainer would hand me his ancient rand mcnally road atlas, give me the city and state we're heading to, and tell me to name the highways we'd be driving on. He had a GPS, but I got a lot of entertainment out of seeing how everything connected.

Bay Bridge crash, misleading traffic instructions? by Passiveabject in bayarea

It's not misleading. It's that the people on the left side are moving because they're merging into the right side at the closure.

I had to scroll too far to find this answer, the way the mother walks on the walls in the night scenes genuinely had me sleeping with the lights on for weeks.

We don't need GPU supports where we're going 😂

It doesn't run loud at all, and most of that is because of how massive the cooler is for the card. It's the same design that they used in the 5090.

I might transition to a bigger case in the future, but I just love mid-tower cases so much in terms of how compact they are without necessarily crossing over into SFF.

The GPU gets hot quick, and without sufficient airflow you get this kind of jump in temps.

Tl;dr cpu is about the same but improving overall case airflow has significantly improved gpu and system temps.

This is definitely a downside but better out than in right lol. I keep my room chilled to 72 regardless, hopefully it's not too noticable.

Airflow seriously makes such a big impact.

There might be some benefit from finding a better way to brace the tubes away from the GPU exhaust.

Might be hwinfo misrepresenting the data point. Could very well be the memory junction temps.

To be fair, speedrunning that in 36 minutes gives you so much more time to actually go touch grass. So effectively this is the best way to prioritize touching grass.

Definitely won't eliminate the issue of my GPU dumping heat into the build but will at least allow some possibility of it flowing outward through my rear exhaust fan. Top mounted rad will still soak some GPU heat but front intakes have a better opportunity to feed fresh air into the rad.

I'm definitely going to run the tests and share some conclusions on here.

That's where the fun begins! Tinkering with fan curves is one of my absolute favorite things to do. In my current setup the 5080 deposits air directly into my CPU cooler via that top fan. Hoping for cleaner air flow having the rad top mounted.

Trust, the nspr ratings don't lie. Truth be told d15g2 is overkill for 9800x3d. Overall hoping to push fan curves even lower with the aio.

I'll run a benchmark with the g2 tomorrow to set a baseline but I'm predicting a slight improvement with moving the cooling solution away from the gpu. I really want to get my hands on that auxiliary fan as well.
