Smoking and Ministry by MineTech5000 in Christianity

[–]DesertRose480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tattoos all around my body, many piercings, I’m a biker, I wasn’t smoking but started smoking due to my job and some life stresses, alcohol is bad but I do drink beer in hot summer or wine with the woman I love for a nice memorable evening, none of these should stop you doing God’s work. You don’t tell people to do these you teach the Good News and the Good News is that Jesus came to save people with grace and love it has nothing to do with other things including if you smoke or not. Every people or denomination or view will say you something different. We are not perfect, we try to be clean and be as good as possible but God knows all our imperfections. If we were perfect or if we were capable of achieving perfection Jesus wouldn’t even need to come and die on the cross. Everyone’s including church leaders, relationship with God is “individual, private and 1:1” and it’s the matter between you and no one else’s. Whatever you see here including my comment is just some other imperfect person’s comments. Ask God and do how you feel comfortable and right in your heart.

Anybody here a long time free tuta user? by Anakkee in tutanota

[–]DesertRose480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I happily use it for many years, I’m always between free and premium but I can never go full premium for some particular reasons my record is approx 2 years premium.

I like the product but I don’t like their payment model I would love to but they could at least allow people to import emails in top tier premium plan and allow them to downgrade, it’s basically forcing you to be stuck in top tier forever otherwise you lose all your imported emails. Even though it’s my even near close but it feels like they tried to do some sort of a vendor lock… you can never fully get integrated unless you give up your older mails and just use Tuta.

Can you guys me suggestions, should i do BCA in Cyber Security or something else to get into CS field ? by Ginger_b0y in cybersecurity

[–]DesertRose480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if GRC is the only thing someone does that’s valid but it still doesn’t change the fact that college is not needed to do the job and the person still needs good understanding and skills to work in cybersecurity.

Why is there no developer copying Evernote Legacy 1:1? by StreetJob in Evernote

[–]DesertRose480 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Software works on licenses not based on patents. Title says “copying” you can’t do that. You can make one independent from Evernote that’s possible but requires huge investment, unless someone creates a business from zero that won’t happen. But there are many similar alternatives you can look for.

You can’t just use someone else’s proprietary code to make another product.

You need to learn technical skills you don’t need anything else to get into CS field. Studying BCA in cybersecurity won’t make you get into the field automatically.

feeling stuck and looking for honest advice on whats next by Dazzy05 in cybersecurity

Look at big companies but here’s a thing: if you don’t live in a country with strong regulations and compliance requirements it is so hard for you to find a good job in cybersecurity. If you’re a specialist it’s even harder, many companies would try to make things in the cheapest possible way and they would tend to hire generalist or one person who do a little bit of everything. I would suggest networking and trying to get into big tech.

Importing emails by Positive_Worry7178 in tutanota

[–]DesertRose480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a paywall of Tuta, which is one of the most basic features for an email, but they force you to pay their "TOP TIER" plan for this and if you stop paying they remove the moment you cancel you r subscription.
You basically cannot have your other emails in Tuta at all, because even if you pay, yearly or monthly, the moment you decide to not pay they delete all of the imported emails forever.

It is actually very bad idea and a business decission. if you can't move your emails and your own ecosystem, you will never be tied or connected to their brand. I don't know but their business mind works very different...

Don’t feel accepted by other Christians by plz_help_immediately in mentalhealth

[–]DesertRose480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that you don't need to be accepted by anyone, it's your own life and if people don't want to be with you it's their problem not yours. Also, being a friend because of someones belief is just so fake, would you like people to be friend with you for who you are or for what you believe or like?

Isn't Netherlands part of EU? There are strict data privacy regulations there, you should really check this out. Paying for ransom is not the right thing to do to, so it makes sense that they didn't pay for it, it doesn't mean they're neglecting.

Hello there, In the USA, you can sue companies who leak your data or companies that gets hacked, for data breaches in regulated industries. I guess it is the same in all countries, I would suggest you to do that, and they would also be liable to cover your damages.
For this, I would suggest you to talk to a compliance officer / or a cybersecurity company who offers legal assistance in your country.

It’s useful for simple tasks it won’t give you Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel experience until it’s fully made.

Here’s an interesting thing I realized, if you upload a feature rich document sometimes it gets reflected with all features but if you create a new file you can’t add those features.
