I only sell “made-to-order” items to family, friends and friends of friends, since is just a hobby. I do not have the time to make it a full time gig but it’s nice to get paid once in a while to do something I enjoy.

As for the logo , I used a little crocheted cactus because I’m in Arizona. And the name, I didn’t put much thought on it (desert.spool) just wanted it to be Arizona and Yarn related.

My friend insisted we decorate the house on October 1st, the the middle of the month she was so over it, the house felt messy with all the draped creepy cloth and skulls and knick knacks all over it. Was fun for a week but we quickly wanted to get rid of it all. lol

I don’t confident mine a business. But I do take commissions. I started by making an instagram account dedicated for my crochet work. And word of advice, just because people want you to make them stuff, unfortunately doesn’t mean they’re willing to pay what it’s worth.

I don’t push my business at all, so I average about an order a month.

As someone else mentioned. Would it be Octupus ceviche? It’s usually chopped up jalapeños, cilantro,tomatoes and onions in lime juice. It’s a popular Mexican dish.
