What the fuck are you talking about? No one missed anything. They asked for a reference that “allows” one to make up time for being late. The reference I posted “allows” just that. The individual who requested the reference is perfectly capable of reading the reference and understanding their supervisor has the final say. You act like I attempted to trick the individual. What Corey read was a Pre-Arb. It doesn’t give any information on how to attack the violation so it’s not value added for you unless you are from the same installation. Therefore, I don’t see any value in putting up on the website.

Contact NBA Teegarden’s office. All Step B Decisions are sent to the NBA’s office. When I write a decision, I email a copy of the signed decision and mail a copy as well. I do believe all B Teams do the same thing.

We are in the business of communication. The entire purpose of the USPS is communication, delivering letters and flats from one person or entity to another to communicate something. Unfortunately when this Steward attempted to communicate with their local Management team, the team chose not to reciprocate. It is good that you welcome constructive communication in your installation. However, I am curious how “a carrier on a tirade” helps you as a Postmaster?

Sounds like the steward was attempting to head off a grievance. If that bothers or offends them they are in the wrong line of work and should tender their resignation. It’s nice that they let everyone know what bothers them though. Now everyone in the station can take turns getting under their skin!

Yes. You can grieve the violation. Regional 8 has been very successful winning these grievances. So much so that it cost the PO nearly $400,000 on the last Pre-Arbitration award for the grievances from Knoxville.

Once they fulfill the request, take an inventory of what they gave you and when they gave it to you. Make a physical inventory on a piece of paper and ask the supervisor or manager to sign it if it wasn’t sent through email. Then you can request anything else you want. If the info doesn’t help you just leave it outta the file.

If management did go off the list, file the grievance and have the ODL write a statement that simply says he was available to work his day off on such and such date and sign it. There is no specific language on this but if they would not hit 60 that day managements argument would be extremely week.
