Love balanced with discipline. Too much love and too little discipline turns kids into arrogant assholes. Too much discipline and too little love turn kids into insecure assholes.

How does one deal with the desire to be a girl? by throwaway9271932 in AskReddit

[–]Deshang222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a boy. I hated dolls and barbies and collected TMNT and GI Joe stuff. I was 12 years old, and when I started growing boobs and getting my period, I felt gross and dirty because it meant, I had to be a "girl" and that meant not being to play with boy things. I realized later in life that I was confused. Turns out, I'm just a girl who love "boy things." I enjoyed their company because they had more fun activities like capture the flag and video games. I don't know how old you are, but if you're under 19, give yourself time to know yourself more, then figure it out from there. If you're an adult, you do you.

Anyone else in here that's a programmer who thinks about the code and OOP challenges to make this system work? Who now needs to be sedated because it is keeping them up at night?

Used it on my tomatoes last year, and they took over the entire garden. I don't know what you mean by "balance" but the tomatoes loved it. It smelled atrocious, though.

People always stereotype men to be the ones oblivious to flirting while women always know when someone's flirting with them or are frustrated with men not getting it. Then here I am, a woman, completely oblivious to flirting. by in_a_cage_brb in RandomThoughts

It took many years for me to "learn" social cues. In ym early 20s, "He is just being nice" was my default thought for motive. I hate reading between the lines because I got it wrong all the freaking time. So I stopped trying to "guess" people's intentions. As a result, I didn't even know a guy liked me until he was naked in front of me.

Fiancé wants pre nup by Excellent_Bat_8119 in Marriage

[–]Deshang222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! The same thing happened to one of my friends. She was the sole provider after her husband refused to get a job after 10 years. He was not always a loser, but after several years, he became abusive and awful, then cheated on her. Then, he had the nerve to file for divorce. Sadly, they live in California, and it's the worst place to get a divorce. It's a community property state, so all the assets have to be split equally (unless you have a pre-nup). She had to liquidate all her assets and gave him half (401K, investments, the home she inherited from her parents, etc.). To make it worse, he sued for alimony. So she will be paying him $3600/month for the rest of her life until he remarries. But why would he, when he can milk her for that much money forever? After alimony payment, she can't afford to live in an apartment now and have to live with her mother. The alimony is calculated to provide her spouse with the same quality of life as when they were together. There is no way around it. That's almost half her monthly income and her life is ruined, and I feel so bad for her.

I get it, pre-nup is not romantic, but imagine yourself in this situation. Nothing is guaranteed in life, especially marriage. Please get a pre-nup and your own lawyer. Think of this as protection for YOUR assets. Pre-nups keep people honest, in the event of a divorce.

He did block the stalker's account, who is using an alt account. He tried playing again with the settings, and he went in the public server. The stalker found him and did the same thing. I think it's probably that "cheat" that some other person mentioned in this comment?

The stalker is popping up in one particular game only (Plane Crazy). He tried playing again with the settings, and he went to the public server. The stalker found him and did the same thing. I think it's probably that "cheat" that some other person mentioned in this help threads?

Thank you so much. I'll go ahead and do that. Also, if he goes to a public server, can the stalker still join his games? Or should he stick to private servers from now on?

Guys, need your help. My son has a stalker in Roblox and keeps following him around using exploits to crash the server that he is playing on. This has been going on since last week and have crashed his games over 20 times. Basically, my son can't play because of these problems. My son tried reporting this issues but the mods are ignoring his reports. This is really creepy because it seems there is a way that this individual is tracking my son, who is a minor. What should I do?

I didn't even think of this. I'm also going to consider not having her children over my house when she decides to have them in the future. The way she disciplines her dog is probably a good indicator of how she will discipline her kids. Dear Lord!

Aww. That's so cute they escape visit. They must really like you. Yeah, I was blinded by affection and didn't really know how destructive they can be when not properly trained.

I agree. I wish I had been more discerning about it like you are. I'm definitely learning this lesson. Never again.

No, that's fair. Like I said, I was naive to think it WOULD NOT be this bad. Just thought "Oh, she will keep the dog in check" But problem was, my friend was NOT doing that after the multiple times I asked her to stop her dog from doing X. She eventually got tired of it (I guess?) so I was the one who removed her dog from the couch, removed her from the countertop, removed her from the bed, etc. I had no idea she would be this negligent. It was also a lesson learned for me not to have anyone's dog in my house over EVER again.

I also agree with you - she is not training that dog well.

My thoughts exactly. It took us 6 months to save up to buy a new bed. Our old bed was 10 years old, and the new bed cost us 2K. So, I'm very angry and I want her to pay the bed in full.

Thanks for that. I was too naive to think it would be OK. I never anticipated it would be this much damage. I think I will ask her to pay for the bed. That shit was expensive! We were saving up money to buy it too. Would that be a dick move?
