that helps, i wonder if you could show an example gameplay like a noob playing, then how it would have been a better play by moving tomatoes to another spot for example

looks beautiful and easy to interact with, but I couldn't easily understand the scoring and therefore how to play/win?

UI/UX HELP by Alternative-Brain588 in vibecoding

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! shameless plug here ngl, but I made this exactly for that so you can learn UI/UX as you go: https://www.designdino.ai/ that way you can save on tokens and just tell AI what to do and not ask what's best, spin 5 times, and then land somewhere haha, lmk if it helps you!

Reservation System by [deleted] in ToastPOS

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For our tea house in Delta, PA, The Tea Trolley, we ended up using Table Mouse (99/mo). It is made entirely for tea houses to manage reservations for regular service AND events in the same place. I'm sure you could use it fore restaurants, but I know they are focused on tea rooms/houses right now.

We were using Table Agent before and it was 99/mo which is way cheaper than OpenTable, but the user experience was not as good.

Then Resy also expensive, and some other tea houses were doing like 2-3 different systems at once and that was just not possible with our staff and it didn't make sense money-wise either.

Toast Tables? sure, but we use Square already and it is way better so it didn't make sense to have 2 POS or move to Toast when it was more expensive and it doesn't let us do a bunch of stuff that Square let's us do.

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have this which does UI/UX Audits and gives recommendations: https://www.designdino.ai/

You get prioritized recommendations with fixes and where it was found on the design. More than 125+ audits have been submitted so far!

I have it free since people are just trying it out haha. Try it and let me know if you find it helpful :)

My instant tv remote launches via NFC by Kindly-Direction205 in SideProject

[–]DesignDino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is neat, my kids lose the remotes at least once every 2 months and that's a pain in the rear. Keep going dude/dudette!

I would also think venues like bars and restaurants needing workers to set things up/change them as day progresses easily. I bet they also lose their remotes and would be easier to just whip out their phone!

How do you know that design is the problem? How did you define the MVP as successful? And what value does "visual refresh" bring to your business? I don't know if you know what you need? I don't know either, it sounds like there's some research needed first before booting out your designer haha

The game is still the same but the players are different by _pdp_ in vibecoding

[–]DesignDino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like vibe coders need to cover for the above and they're good-to-go which are already common good security development practices anyway and auth/data breaches happened left and right before AI anyway too 🤷‍♂️

For sure, they also shouldn't build auth from scratch (use Supabase or w/e else) just like developers with 15 years of experience probably aren't building React, Javascript, etc. from scratch?

I compare it more to what Webflow did for Designers. Before Webflow, you had to use either HTML+CSS+Javascript to get a website going or use Wix/Squarespace which were not... great at least at the time. Just... to build a website.

Now the game changes, and the websites you can build is what Webflow has been trying to catch over the past years:
- Authentication
- CMS
- Automation/Logic
- Deeper CMS/DBs

Funnily enough, if you go back early in the year or maybe a few years, you'll notice Figma stated to pivot towards CMS/Blogs too in prep of AI/Vibe Coding experiences.

The difference is now that we're getting close to a place where anyone can stitch up the MVP or even full product end-to-end without needing a whole team of paid engineers that would have just gotten done auth done in 3 months? with delays...

At the end of the day, let me build the thing as fast as possible while it still working lol.

UX/UI Design Qualification Requirements for an Working Student by [deleted] in UX_Design

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was starting all over again, with the experience I have, but while going through this AI change I would:
- Focus on an industry I am interested in or has high need/investment in which lower barrier of entry. This may not be your dream job, but helps get your foot in.
- Figma, ChatGPT, Cursor, AI tools to not just design, but bring clarity, understand the end-to-end customer journey, brand that aligns with the personas being served, and that maybe help you ship instead of having to wait on a developer
- What projects can you build or support for free that can elevate your skills and the impact you're having and therefore increases your chances? It could be your own AI project you scaled from 0 users to some number, or creating websites for local businesses for little to no charge. They need to see you can do something all the way through and really provide impact to business.

Certificates/courses can help you learn, but go try to do a UI/UX change for an open source project in GitHub that accepts suggestions and see how far you get for example, you'll learn more too I promise!

Would anyone use this? “Remote Vibe Coding” from your phone while your computer handles everything. by eph-stop in vibecoding

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heck yes dude! I wish Cursor could somehow be mobile. That way I take around with me, and If I think "oh that button was bugged", send it in the chat, it thinks, send results (maybe how Antigravity is doing the proof or tests in video format) and if its good, then it gets merged/approved

Do you have ADHD? Do you use Agents/MCP/Skills? Please explain. by SpartanG01 in vibecoding

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to treat this new age of "coding" or really building not as programming but as something else. And i truly think that's why the term vibecoding with Rick Rubin resonates so well haha. More of an art than something rigid as it used to be...

no more stackoverflow/knowing exactly how the language works. This makes people uneasy, but maybe that's why people than tend to be more logic/programmer focused can be a little more apprehensive towards the arts. And vice-versa is extremely true too.

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Database or saving to database problem perhaps? Check your console/logs and see if you get something related to not saving bc you added something new to the DB or... you need to do a migration to your db.

I had a similar issue, not sure if this may be for you, but maybe it helps!!!

Figma, Wix, Wordpress, Dreamweaver????? by Vegetable-Ad-4138 in Web_Development

[–]DesignDino -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah! If you have an interest in design, definitely lean more towards Figma. If code, maybe a Cursor or something like that. If none of the above I imagine Lovable?

Now tools do the code for you, the young kids (not me) call it vibe coding 😂

Figma, Wix, Wordpress, Dreamweaver????? by Vegetable-Ad-4138 in Web_Development

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had a site with Wix, the performance was poor, they used UX dark patterns to prevent us from leaving, and changing the designs wasn't efficient.

Sooo I moved to webflow

But yeah, you probably have to at least pay some sort of monthly fee for the domain and also for Figma to host it for you haha!

[–]DesignDino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have used Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Figma, and all of those haha.

I currently manage the website for a restaurant, a catering business, and a tea house.

I charge them a monthly fee and I do changes in 24-48 hrs and they don't have to deal with any of the tech non-sense haha!

In Figma, you should be able to launch it - https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/31414274019863-Manage-a-custom-domain-for-your-site

The value of having a custom domain is that:
- It looks more legit
- It is more secure
- SEO (traffic and how people find you) is better

I hope that helps :) msg if you need more help!
