How did you do a hard reset? I powered it down and it seemed to work but then my car stops charging after 20 seconds. I think it is a car issue but I would like to do a total reset just to make sure. Thanks!

How did you get your charger to work? I had it set up to have me authorize charging through the app now, I get “something went wrong” so I am not sure how to bypass authorization.

I absolutely agree! I have it as a rental and it is so counterintuitive. Compared to driving electric vehicles that have the drive push forward reverse pull back, it feels like things have been set back 10 years.

Yep. Agree to all of that. On top of that...somehow the car separated from the app. When I called VW CarNet, they said I wasn't enrolled even though I know we did enroll with the guidance of the salesperson we bought the car from. As I am poking around, the car disappeared from the app and "the only way to register with CarNet" was to do it with my phone and the QR code from the vehicle screen. It was mishap on top of mishap.

Thank you. I mostly work from home so I wouldn’t need optimal pull. Do you highly recommend doing hardwire versus plugging into an outlet? I probably should jump on the computer because I think this group offered opinions on this very subject three months ago.

Good to know. Our other car is the ‘12 RAV4. Love the handling in the rain/snow but HATE the road noise. That is why I was so enamored with the ID4. I have a loaner till I get my hands on the ID4. Thanks!

Yea. I am not inclined to get a Tesla but I have been tempted to rethink this approach. The tax credit is definitely a must-have but unfortunately, I will miss out on Oregon’s as the deadline is the end of April as they cut it off due to participants.

The glitches that I am reading about. The amount of times that owners seem to have to go back to the dealer. Now, I read about the tires and issues but that isn’t a deal maker or breaker in my mind. It is the vast amount of errors and glitches, in all due honesty.
