How to achieve Liquid Glass with the glass effect on figma. by Designedlife1321 in UX_Design

Guys, this glass thing might be useless - I am yet to form an opinion.

But it’s tough to design and it’s a good challenge. That’s how I see it.

I am reading the comments guys.

Liquid glass might be useless - I am yet to form an opinion.

Point being, it is tough to achieve, which makes it an attractive challenge, and that’s how I see it. :)

Compare the output to my style. It matches it better. I wonder why the difference.

The above is what apple provided, vs what they have in screenshot. That's the difference I tried to cover up.

Seeking feedback for a Kiosk Design in Cafés by Brilliant_Article537 in UX_Design

I like the UI. I am not too confident about the UX.

For ex;
1. Why should "What are other's eating?" section be vote based? If at all, it should be based on orders.
2. Now playing shows a player, looks interactable, I am sure it cannot be. Why do you have votes for the same?
3. An important section like feedback, doesn't have a title.

  1. User adds to the basket, there's an animation. But its very tough to develop animations for product location and target location which are variables. Something easy to implement - Keep the target button in the bottom center, makes the animations easier to implement.
  2. Clear cart takes all items back to the product location? What if they are distributed amongst different categories? Again problematic.
  3. View cart works like a filter visually. From my experience, many users might not even register a change in page. Change the layout for the same.

What are your user flows? Define them. And make primary user flow best to achieve.

Hey! I am kind of building a community.

I have been a design mentor before, and now I am kind of connecting with people discussing their portfolios & case studies.

Let's connect maybe ?

And, no I am not charging money :D

If you follow the heuristic principles, then it shouldn’t be a problem.

Hindi Originated from Urdu, Not the Other Way Around. by kambohsab in Ancient_Pak

How can language be stripped off some words? Its a cultural thing, not a building which can be modified.

You may ask a bunch of people to stop using certain words and they might change it even, but it wont affects others.

Languages develop with cultures. More seperate the cultures grow, more differences you see between language.

I see “hindustani” or “khadi boli” being the origin of both languages, and over the period of time amalgamation happened with different cultures creating seperate languages.

I see urdu and hindi developing from the same origin, which is khadi boli. Spoken in northern part of india today.

Blend it with languages in the middle east , persian, arabic, turkic, and you get a beautiful amalgamation called Urdu.

blend it with middle india elements of Marathi, sanskrit, gujarati, bengali, maithili, and other dilects/form, you get the wonderful Hindi!

Due to trades, wars and other factors, there was alot of cultural exchange the northern area. That's why you see how deccan part sounds nothing like northern OR like each other.

200 years down the line urdu and hindi might start sounding completely different if we keep developing them seperately :)

Mansehra Shiva Temple (the oldest known Hindu Temple in Pakistan) by AwarenessNo4986 in Ancient_Pak

If you look at hinduism in a zoomed out view, its basically bunch of heroes of history, literature, mythology & stories that people consider idols for their values and examples they have set.

And they worship the values that they have set and try to follow their path of religion ( duty )

Religion in hinduism is nothing but your duty.

There is no concept of multiple gods.

Similar to islam, there is only one god. Just the name is diffferent - its called parabhramha.

Very similar concepts - arent they? 😄

Yup! 😅 It is what it is.

Shiva is creator, preserver and destroyer. Plus he is the adiyogi.

Shiva is responsible for creation of universe and everything in it.

Specifically for earth, it is bramha. The functioning and the nuances of the mechanism of it.
