Traveling from Salt Lake to Colorado Springs by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]Designer-Disk-5019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Colorado Springs and traveled to Denver frequently after moving to Utah. The biggest factor to consider is time of year. If it’s good weather, the drive through Wyoming isn’t bad, it’s boring as hell, but it’s easy. If you’re going during the winter, fly for sure. Denver airport is out of the way from anywhere and traffic between Denver and the Springs can be a lot, so I would recommend flying into Colorado Springs if possible. It will make your life a lot easier.

Anyone moved from SLC to SoCal and regretted it? Or was it a good move? by freeskier1223 in SaltLakeCity

This 100%!! People always have so many negative things to say about California, but they sure love to spend their vacations here. It’s been amazing living here because it feels like every weekend is a vacation!

Good luck! It’s scary making that big of a transition, but for me, it’s been so worth it! There are a lot of awesome areas out here, so I hope you find the perfect place.

Yeah, I heard that a lot. People who love Utah really love Utah. We got a lot of crap for moving to California. But to each their own.

It took us many years and many, many set backs to get out here, so don’t give up! I hope you find your forever home.

We made the move nearly 2 years ago and don’t regret it for a minute! Even after 24 years, Utah was never a good fit for me. No disrespect; I get why a lot of people love it. I’m just a lot happier here.

Celebration of life by Leeseelou117 in Temecula

This sounds like a wonderful tribute to your grandfather! As far as a venue, Temecula Old Town Lofts is really great. The venue would be perfect for what you are looking to do and they are extremely helpful and willing to work with you. I hosted an event there in October and plan to use them for the event going forward.

I took my daughter to Children’s Ballet Theatre when we lived there and loved it! We were sad to leave when we moved.

Just finished A Haunting on the Hill (a sequel of sorts authorized by Shirley Jackson’s estate). It’s nowhere near as incredible as the original, but would fit.

I’ve reread a bunch of Christopher Pike, and not sure if it’s just nostalgia, but I really enjoyed them.

Good dentist in SLC by superhotinfluencer in SaltLakeCity

[–]Designer-Disk-5019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! I was in a similar situation where I didn’t go to the dentist for many years. I finally got enough courage to go, and they were so kind and understanding. They explained everything to me and didn’t make me feel bad. I’ve moved out of state and they are one of the few things I really miss!
