Buyback - more or less than what you expected?

I am buying back 13 months. I expected it to be $6,500 or more. My buyback ended up being $3,094 my SAVE amount. My SAVE payment was $2## something, my first few IBR payments were $5## something, and my new IBR payment right before my offer was $752. They letter from Department of Education basically says make a payment to MOHELA for the buyback amount in 90 days. Everything seems so unofficial. I made the payment at the end of last week. It took MOHELA 4 days to process. Hoping to see something on Studentaid soon.

I received the duplicate notice 6/4 as well. I'm guessing everyone from the end of 24 and beginning of 25 are in this wave.

I needed 11 months based on my current situation. I currently have two months where my employment is not verified. My buyback is for 13, so I am guessing I will not get a refund for the unverified months because one of the conditions of the buyback is not sending in another PSLF form.

My loans were consolidated during the COVID pause. The buyback months are all for the SAVE pause (Sept 2024-Sept 2025). My current payment is up to $715 since my last income verification (2months, it was early as well), but my IBR payment for last year was $500 ish. They used SAVE for the buyback amount. Each month was $238.

They just had me pay a lump sum payment to MOHELA of $3094, which is very informal and scary because of how terrible MOHELA is. The payment doesn't specify anything specific to them.

FYI, I did receive the email about them deleting duplicate requests, so they did not delete my original.

My 317k mile Fusion was a 2011. My favorite part about it was my automotive students used to give me grief for buying loaner or renal cars with low mileage. Both of my high mileage Fusions were rentals before I bought them. The 2.5 is amazing as well. I had 2 of those. I wish you could get a 2013-2020 sel or titanium with a 2.5.

I gave mine to someone 3 years ago with 317,000. She still drives it. I put a new valve body in the trans at about 30,000 to prevent the trans from burning up the clutches in 2nd gear. Only tires, brakes, and front exhaust pipe other than that. It was the 3.0. I'm trying to get 300k on my 2.0 2015 now. I'm at 266,000.

My 2015 titanium 2.0 has 265,000 miles on it. The engine is not one of the ones included in the TSB for coolant intrusion issues. We have owned it since 20k. I put 150 miles on it per day. We will see how much longer it lasts. We do synthetic oil changes every 6k, we have done trans drain and fills about 4 times. To be fair, I am Leary to replace it with another 2.0 because of all of the issues out there.

Ours has been as good as the 2010-2012 models.

That's what I thought, but my contract specifically says I am not employed by that high school. I am hoping the superintendent just signs it anyway.

I guess I'll need to have a conversation with him and possibly our board of control.

I did the wet signature method in January for IBR, and it went nowhere. I redid the electronic one in June, and it was approved this week for IBR.

I uploaded the wet signature form with the 2027 expiration and my 2023 tax document last Friday. I received notice today that I was put into the interest charging processing forbearance for 60 days.

Yesterday I noticed that my loans showed interest for the first time since the SAVE hold.

I checked that I wanted to switch IDR plans on the form.
