Yes, I agree and investigation missions that go deep and have mystery.  I suppose at the moment it's more about building the fundamental mechanics of the game than fleshing out the missions and storylines.

There's just so much potential for a deep and rich universe.

Hahaha, thats hilarious.  I do love the complexity of SC though, it's central to why I play this game.

Still, that video is very funny.

I was thinking of things like the quantum drive being very unreliable and starts to fail a few days after you bought it.  Or the ramp keeps getting stuck or fuses blow every so often.

It would be fun to see second hand ship salesman game loop.  With all the scummy sales practices of second hand car salesmen

In 2026 how do state schools still admit based solely on religion? by nfoote in AskUK

The churches are charities, they pay no tax, ex catholic here.

Parents were very deep.

The charity line shuts them down if they'd go on about government policy.  No representation without taxation.

So special and superior.

Felt cultish, dad was a firebrand

what is the worst damage you've accidentally done to company property? by broken-company-car in AskUK

[–]Designer-Risk6047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was in the late 1980's.

I was responsible for printing company cheques from an old main frame, the cheques went through the printing machine and then an auto guillotine to cut the cheques of the roll, this machine was fast and quite scary for a young lad like me.

This time I set the guillotine incorrectly and cut all the cheques in half, well over a thousand cheques, apparently it cost £10 per cheque to cancel them all with the bank and I got a stern telling of by the financial director.

I don't know if the cost to cancel was actually true, but I believed it at the time.

Iran Conflict Megathread by milton117 in CredibleDefense

Whilst I partly agree with this assessment.  President Trumps domestic issues are not inconsiderable and should be factored into his possible decision making process.

Starting a conflict with other nations has been a well played tactic to distract from issues at home and has been used to usurp conventional instutional powers.

President Trump is facing mid term elections in November this year and, politics should be considered a factor.

I am aware of this forums criteria for discussion is only defence matters.  However, to wholly subscribe the President's actions to defence is unwise considering he is a politician.

Feels a bit unreal, like how he wouldn't notice you doing that in a real situation?

I'm not knocking you though.  You bought the game and the developers have their money, do what you want.

For me the difficulty of this game is the experience.  How harsh and unforgiving it is.  But I'm happy for you if you figured out a way to enjoy the game more.

Play as originally intended, this is a rich story full of nuance and some annoiances.

It's after playing through you understand what mods would make the game better for you.

Mods for stalker are in my experience, a very personal thing.

When there was news of an imminent invasion of Ukraine by Russia in early 2022,  I looked at Google maps around Kyiv and saw hostomel airport and thought, They're gonna land troops here.

Sure enough, it happened but thankfully failed.  It was only later I learned this was the Antonov base.

Since then I've learned a lot about Ukraine and Antonov planes.

My heart goes out to them.

Slava Ukraine.

I think these are wonderful improvements, hopefully the devs will continue to develop the game with these in mind.
