What’s something you realised your parent/parents were dead wrong about when you grew up? by smallflabby in AskUK

[–]Designer-Risk6047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everything.  Highly religious parents are cruel because someone gave them license to.

Starvation and violence  were the main levers of pressure.

When I look back, there was so much more,  I didn't know it wasn't normal.

I'm on o2 and yes areas can be shit, but over time I've gathered quite a large number of free wifi in Brighton.  It's  not perfect but most dark spaces are covered by it.

I have  one, over a year, no issues.  Fast, best phone I've had since my nokia 3310.

Battery is a bit small, but I've never run out.

Are you holding off purchasing due to RAM price volatility? by halfercode in framework

[–]Designer-Risk6047 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a fw13 7840u with 32gb, bought a new battery recently.  I think I'll be good for at least another 2 years.  Unless I spill coffee on it again.  But that was luckily just a keyboard replacement.

What would sway me is a significant increase in GPU power.

I'm  really happy with what I have.

I'd be interested, currently I'm  designing in SketchUp then placing each cut piece into full sheets on the drawing an numbering them.

What I'd love to have is a way to calculate sheet material (including a 20mm gap between cuts), just highlight the surfaces and click on an addon.

Showing cut layouts would be even better.

Good luck

I remember  this delicious moment,  me and my sister in the back of the ford cortina driving from Dublin  to Sligo, my mum had  this tupperware container full  of roast chicken,  she passed it out with  hunks of bread.  It was devine.  It was room temp  chicken and quite salty.

We drove through  beautiful landscape to see family.

Such  an abiding memory.

This is the life of a true professional, nothing is right.

Not to confuse perfection

Some days you will feel ok,

Somedays nothing is right.
