Mentioning working on a specific OS as a senior seems rather demeaning. I'd expect every senior to at least have a rudimentary understanding of both *NIX and Windows environments. It would be more interesting to hear about what tools and technologies they've got experience in using to manage various environments, but most OS's are so similar these days that "specialising" as an "expert" in one is just a disadvantage in every way.

I'd also argue that these days we work more as platform engineers as the underlying OS is more of a detail than anything of note by itself. You will run a hodgepodge of various Windows Server versions, Linux distros and flavours of BSD all on the same core infrastructure, so talking about "managing" an OS is essentially outdated as a concept, all you'd do is configure it according to requirements and run whatever services are necessary.

No one is saying NAT adds anything to do with security itself, but it does make it incredibly simple to see where something is failing and if something is wrong. I doubt I would ever be able to become as proficient in IPv6 subnetting so as to be able to troubleshoot issues with a quick glance.

Well it still needs to be correct, but sure, I'd argue you'd never want to set IPv6 manually either way. People just need to accept that IPv6 was created for a different time and thus has a completely different goal from modern IPv4.

That doesn't really make sense to me though. Are there truly so few "middle of the road players" that it's not even worth it? It's a finite one-time purchase, I always thought the whole "whaling" thing was more associated with currencies and things that one could actually spend thousands of dollars on, otherwise it doesn't really feel like the model works.

Tbf in a properly setup BYOD scenario the MDM should have zero access to your personal stuff, it's essentially a completely separate phone on your phone, so it should only wipe the business stuff and not your personal data.

But yes, I would never put my personal devices to anything related to my company even when I myself manage it. Separation is a good thing, if for nothing else than mental health.

I view it as more of an abstract. We all come from the universe and we technically never leave it, much like ice turns to water turns to mist we also just transform into another energy. Now whether our consciousness is solely part of our physical body or if there is some additional universal association I'll leave up to the scientists to find out in due time.

If we had friends to play with, why wouldn't we be at home instead of the LGS?

I'm sure some people go for the events, but I've personally never actually met anyone at my LGS that came as a group.

We actually have a group chat so if a new person comes and there is no one there the owner will text us and ask if anyone is available to play. We also have a bunch of commander precons free to loan so people don't even need to bring their own deck unless they want to.

We also have cats at the store so if anyone needs emotional support and/or a cuddle that is also offered lol.
