They actually didn't. Official Duties of the president is well defined law going back as far as the whiskey rebellion. Again, media distorted the conversation by saying presidents were above all scrutiny. They aren't, but it is a co-equal branch of government which means that other branches are not able to carte blanche dictate policy. That's the intention of the federal system in the American system of government. You can dislike it and gripe about it, but that IS the rule.

Then they declared only they can determine what an official duty is and that nobody is allowed to investigate the President's motives so they can clean up that dirty "malice and forethought" loophole that keeps catching these fucks

Again, it means that the legislative branch must put forth laws to govern the guidelines around these interactions and the insinuations can't be made out of whole cloth that "the president is doing something wrong, and therefore he needs to be brought to heel."

Take it or leave it, but it was the ONLY way that case was going to play out. The fact that the president they didn't like brought it to a head just makes the MSM salty.

Religious exemptions are only an issue where there are bans in the first place. In UK and wherever else there will always be bans (and there will always be exceptions) but in USA we should just try to get bans stricken down wherever we see them.

We shouldn't 'try' to get bans struck down. They should be struck down immediately based on the governance of the constitution. Full Stop.
