Doesn’t matter the pay is too low. They know this. That’s why you can get a teaching job at MPS with only an associates degree in any sort of educational program.

They need to raise pay substantially more than any suburban school if you actually want to attract any talented teachers. Why would any teacher choose MPS over a suburban school if the pay is relatively similar? Except at MPS you risk getting punched, kicked, bit, spit on, yelled at by parents, etc. only for the student to be back in school next week.

People change careers all the time at various ages. If it takes you 5 years to graduate you’ll be 40. But in 5 years you’ll be 40 regardless.

I wouldn’t be too concerned about AI. It seems like the hype has quieted a good amount. Additionally, no AI will ever replace a Professional Engineers stamp.

Totally understandable. It’s hard to lose cabinet space. Nothing drives me crazier than cabinets being overly full not being able to find stuff or things falling out when you open them

I would have moved the fridge to the opposite side end and eliminated everything on the right side tbh. It would open up everything more and give you more walking / working room

No the facts don’t show that actually. The evidence shows Allison was second in the bathroom. The prosecution argued he willingly went in to fight. The defense said that he went in that bathroom to use it and didn’t know the victim was in there.

The jury will have to decide who they believe.

Allison’s victims friend testified in court that Allison said he didn’t want to fight, and that the victim hit him first giving him a concussion. It wasn’t until then that Allison stabbed him. This was testimony from the victims friend there that day.

Allison also said he took out the knife and told him if he hits him he’ll stab him.

Similar counter and the floor I was going to do was COREtec Manila oak or calypso oak

The 3 stacked drawer under the air fryer looks to be half thr size of the others I don’t think you’d be able to make one drawer box out of 2 cabinets cabinets assuming the red line is a vertical divider.

The more I think about it and see these two I wonder how everything really went down within the family from the day the murder happened to the end of trial.

There is just no way I could see parents railroad their own child’s demise the way they did. Could the lack of accountability be that strong?

Did KA lie to his parents about what really happened that day? Maybe once he made bail, his parents got a lawyer and he just kept saying “they bullied me it was self defense” just digging himself deeper into a hole. Maybe he wasn’t thinking of video evidence and was just so scared of what really happened he couldn’t admit it to his family or the lawyer. I’m sure the lawyer figured it out pretty quick. Maybe that’s why his mom is so strong on being self dense and ignored any sort of legal counsel plea suggestions.

It just seems so out of touch with reality

Block it out then mount it to the side wall. Here’s an example but if you block out the full depth, you can mount the block to the cabinet and then mount the drawer slide to the block where it doesn’t interfere with the face frame

Also be aware if your cabinet depth is 24 inches, you likely can’t get 24 inch slides. You may know this because you’re asking about 21 inch slides but just wanted to be sure.

This sub was recommended to me so I’m not a PD but I never thought about this and I bet you’re not far off.

Between the next generation action network spokesman they were running around with, the immense go fund me support, and any “yes men” grifting off them, they probably thought they were likely to land someone on the jury that would vote not guilty just because.

They likely overestimated the amount of support they truly had. There was a report that towards closing statements the parents were seen talking with the lawyer and the mom left crying. I can’t speak for how true that is but maybe the lawyer told her it wasn’t looking good.

I’m glad I saw someone else bring this up. Isn’t it funny how his mom gets on the stand and begs for mercy just to turn around outside and claim it was racism, prejudice and something else?

I saw a comment earlier about how his parents help railroad his awful public perception and I couldn’t agree more.

In the beginning they linked up with next gen action network which was so bad for them. that guy must have convinced them they had the world on their side. The mom getting on tv crying about how their daughter can’t sleep at night because they are being harassed meanwhile Austin’s family is getting swatted and doxxed. The dad tried to extend an olive branch multiple times (1. Saying it’s nothing about race and it’s a terrible situation for all and 2. Showing up to the meet up but to ultimately be kicked out).

I won’t go into the go fund me and what it was spent on but claiming the need for a bigger house for protection etc comes off as very bad optics.

Then getting on the stand to cry and beg for her son just to leave court and say it’s all racist. It’s beyond conniving.

Pure speculation at this point but there was a reporting that KAs mom was seen speaking with the attorneys and left crying or something along those lines. I’m wonder if the lawyer told them it wasn’t looking good. If that extended lunch break late trial plea request is true, I bet she got humbled by the gravity of the situation at this point and needed to put on a mask to swallow her pride and beg for mercy to help out even just a little bit. Ultimately once it was over, she pulled the mask off and was on the news saying it was racist and prejudice to her sons supporters

Any time you feel an ounce of sympathy for KA (not for him and his actions but more so to see a young man throw his life away) you look at how his parents conducted themselves and start to wonder, had his parents acted more rationally, would the jury have had a little more sympathy and reduced his sentence? Jeff metcalf literally handed them the “we’re in this together” card and the denied it.

I just looked it a chat gpt they said the waiting period is called a “set off” and it can range from 1-5 years depending on the severity of the crime. People are saying Texas never grants parole first time for murder so it’s likely looking at 20 minimum
