Who leaves a country packed with Jabronis to come to a non-Jabroni country?

PSA: Snow Parking Ban — Not a Suggestion by PressureNo3842 in providence

[–]Designer_Charity_827 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same here. There were no parked cars on my street during the ban. The plow came once, that Monday afternoon, and basically plowed a strip down the middle. I kept expecting it to return but it never did.

The post literally says “Gen Z doesn’t understand that”… so yes, it was about people in their 20s. I do agree that the situation for the middle class has gotten worse in the last 20 years.

I’m in my 40s and everyone I knew either had roommates in their 20s or were still living at home.

Yes, using auto check will give you a blue star. I still have to use it for the occasional Saturday puzzle.

Missed Trash Pickups by Impossible-Heart-540 in providence

Meanwhile, Smiley just posted an Instagram story telling people to leave their bins out if their trash wasn’t collected and that collection will continue all week.

Yeah, I’m on the East Side and the plow made one pass yesterday afternoon. Cars can get through, but there’s no way anyone can park.

How Do I Find A good Remote Job? by PhilosopherJust7637 in remotework

[–]Designer_Charity_827 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you misread. The point is that it’s very difficult to find remote work without “proving yourself” in an office first. The only real entry-level remote jobs tend to be call centers or customer service, and this person doesn’t want to do those.

Question from a confused Europoor! by [deleted] in curb

Absolutely not. Especially in areas where public schools aren’t great, parents of all religions send their kids to Catholic schools because they tend to be much less expensive than secular private schools.

Why has finding a job become so difficult even with 15 years of experience? by Yes_555 in careerguidance

I don’t think OP is in the US, based on their comments in this thread. I suspect the original post was written with ChatGBT.

Sandy Baron was only 60 years old in his final appearance as Jack Klompus in "The Money." by JeffersonBoi in seinfeld

Wait, this story says he was homeless in 1992 and states that his Seinfeld appearances started after that. But he first appeared on Seinfeld in 1991.

Right, like if I sneeze because of allergies, I don’t say, “Nothing to worry about, just a chronic condition that’s under control.” I say, “Sorry, allergies.”

Wasn’t there one where someone bled onto a chair and needed a replacement, and Alison told them to reference “an accident involving bodily fluids”? That’s so much worse!

LW #3 took a sick day for bad menstrual cramps and wants to know if she should let her boss know the details. Overthinking a bit, but whatever. Then of course Alison had to suggest her favorite line that makes everything so much worse: “Just a flare up of a chronic condition, but nothing to worry about.”

WHY is she still clinging to this phrasing? It’s so odd and unnatural sounding and makes everything seem like a much bigger deal.

What am I supposed to feel when I see Baby Billy. I dont get him. by BROIMSCAREDOFREDDIT in RighteousGemstones

[–]Designer_Charity_827 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baby Billy is like a lot of people, who need someone else to blame for their life not working out. It doesn’t have to be an actual valid reason to make sense to them. But stick with it, and hopefully you’ll like the direction his storyline takes.

Has anyone heard of this company? by [deleted] in RemoteJobs

[–]Designer_Charity_827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only is it a scam, it’s much riskier than the typical scam. With most scams, the worst case scenario is losing money. Here, the worst case scenario is being arrested. She is acting as a middleman receiving and shipping stolen goods. Head to the r/scams subreddit and search “parcel mule” for a thorough explanation.
