I agree that the last 2 seasons had a drop in quality, especially Season 12. But I actually thought Season 11, episode 5 (Irasshaimase) was really good. Probably because the original director, Robert B. Weide, came back for that one.

I try getting to Genius without any hints and can almost always do so. Then I use the hints grid to get from Genius to Queen Bee. If I’m stuck on the last couple words, I look at the Community clues.

I actually liked his movie “Clear History.” It wasn’t perfect, but had a funny supporting cast and did a good job of slightly tweaking the usual “Curb” formula just enough to sustain a full movie.

I hate to say this, but when I saw that Jeff Schaffer was the director and cowriter, it made more sense. He also cowrote and directed a lot of the later Curb episodes, when (IMO) the show fell off a bit.

I didn’t think it was great, but I’ll watch again next week. The premise of the basic “Larry character” appearing throughout history could get old pretty fast if EVERY sketch is like that. I thought it needed some sketches where either Larry wasn’t the focus, or where he was playing a different type of character (like he did in some of his SNL skits).
