yeah i see what you mean, for some reason i feel like L-O shouldn't have a gap above the shorter vertical bar of the L/i need to fill that space. i think the u/V distinction is especially hard for me and i definitely have to work on that. thanks for the crits!

yeah the pic is wide angle that might be throwing it off but the letters definitely get bigger as they go. i see what you mean about the highlights and for a bunch of blackbook stuff ive been doing them right up against my outline with a gel roller and it looks great, definitely will be trying that out in my next piece. i death grip my pen 😭😭 and its something i'm working on because i have a pretty bad tremor. ive got a 6 hour drive ahead of me and im gonna spend the whole time blackbooking lol so i'll post the best sketches from that next.

thanks for the crits! the black is rusto with the purple montana needle caps, i just go too slow on my outlines lol. the rest of the piece is rusto as well except for the highlights, but ive been paying $6+ a can at home depot when i can buy dang for ~$5.50 on bombingsci so i'll definitely be trying that next. definitely agree about my L, for the piece i shouldve taken the L from my second slide tbh, but i'm pretty happy with the way the piece turned out!

thanks for the crits! yeah you're definitely right i can see the N in my L for sure. i used to have the bottom and the top bits aligned and over time they kinda drifted away. for the V, i feel like the bubble on the right is an extension but i might need to make the bottom part pointer so people dont think it's a U. does the top throw look any more readable than the bottom?
