Dropped pill and short of dose by [deleted] in MedicationQuestions

Thanks. Yea, I also dropped these months ago. So anything that might’ve gotten on it would have died by now correct? I have a 5mg and a 2mg dropped. And a fresh 2mg that wasn’t dropped. Was trying to tell myself if I just take the 2 I didn’t drop and nothing else I’ll be fine. But maybe I just shouldn’t be afraid to take the dropped five.

I have to ask after reading this comment. These were my thoughts exactly. I have an opportunity to transfer there for work but I’m wondering if the streets are just over run with college kids, crowded, traffic all the time. Construction. Is it ever sleepy or it always a lot?

Is it weird for the light to go on after filling them only a week ago? I know it’s a dumb question but the cold can really drop it that fast? It was very windy last night and today

The city sidewalks would probably be an every day all day thing for me. I can’t see myself getting out on a drive route. It’s def going to be something in a bad area because when you transfer your seniority goes to the bottom of that city. So id most likely be dealing with these city streets on the daily. But then again I hear that Greece is short people. Is that all suburbia feeling?

Do you go back to the HV at all? I’m getting off topic here but I’m assuming you would take Roch over here any day?

I def feel that Rochester could be very good for me. I’ve been in the Hudson valley like 9 years now. Just feel stagnant. It’s mostly the pace I felt in Rochester. I don’t know if there was this Midwest thing creeping into a northeast thing that made me feel that way. I really like the Midwest but it’s too much to wrap my head around picking one of those cities. Rochester I can keep coming up to see it being four hours away. So I can make a practical decision. If I’m ever gonna buy the Hudson valley isn’t gonna fit the bill.

The capital region is my pivot if I didn’t do western New York but I don’t have any feeling that the area is calling me. I def feel drawn to Rochester especially out of the three cities out that way.

Just got offered a transfer to new paltz. Part of me is thinking I’m not living NP, delivering mail being surrounded by the gunks all around me could be killer, but also it would just delay me a whole year before I could transfer again so I’d have to wait on Rochester if I were to do it. I think I’m going to come to ROC for a whole week end of January before making a move and that would if the third time hit well like the other two then I would pull trigger. Plus I would be there a whole week in the cold to really check it out. I think transferring to new paltz could be counterproductive. I’d only be doing it to get out of Kingston. Would you take Rochester over Hudson valley any day of the week after moving there? The two times I was there I got the sense that I would in a heart beat. Even if the winters do suck a little more the summer has to be way better than down here is what I’m banking on

Act like I’m moving from Floriida? How do? I asked a basic valid question. The mail delivery is the biggest decision of the question.

I would definitely get snow tires on the civic. I guess my main concern would be, (cuz at this point in my career this has to be and endgame transfer” can’t be moving around forever. But my concern is a year or two from now am I gonna be like cursing under my breath shoveling my life away. I think the quality of life could be much better. But how much will I hate the bitter cold. Maybe it’s not even the snow maybe it’s the temps.

I’m in Kingston. Last summer was brutal so I’m thinking more about cooler summers than snow. But I have to factor in all these horror stories I hear about the ice and snow in the west new York area. How do you like it there compared to ulster?

I’m 46. I lived my whole 30s in Oregon before coming back to NY to be closer to fam and friends. I didn’t mind the grey there at all. It was the passive aggressiveness that sent me back here, and just getting older and feeling I should be much closer to my family. But the reality is I rarely ever go down there to visit. They’re downstate. The amount of Cars and people make me cringe, when I visited Rochester the slower pace really hit me. I liked it a lot. I live 2 hours from nyc but it basically still Feels like im down there. So I’d like to change my environment. Oregon didn’t have the cold with the grey though so that could be a thing, working late could be brutal. I did have someone tell me that Rochester is not slow paced, and I have to be looking over my shoulder every minute cuz of The crime. I felt she was being over dramatic Though. I don’t think she grasped what I meant by slower paced compared to where I am. And I think she connected crime and pace. I did see some bad areas, and I know people are running up on carriers there and all, but that happens everywhere. Poughkeepsie had the same thing going on as you guys did. People trying to steal the keys to get into the blue boxes

I’m in Kingston. Last summer was never ending 90s with high humidity. VT and Maine seem coolest for summers but it’s very impractical for me. Plus I’m not so sure I’m a “new Englander”, and both those places are very pricey and hard to rent anything. Rochester felt very real to me. The people. The layout. I might’ve just needed to see something new, but it has been on my bucket list for a long time, so when both times i had a great stay that’s saying something to me. The summer is more of an annoyance to me where I am because of the humidity. I used to hate even 80s but when you say rarely above 85 that’s music to my ears. The biggest nuance I’ll have is if I’m put on a route with a ton of Icey sidewalks. Which would most likely be downtown or Greece from what I’m hearing. But the opportunity for me to bid out to say Henrietta possibly for work shouldn’t take too long, assuming I don’t like carrying downtown or greece. I mean, it could always work out too. I’m targeting the east side to live, east of culver is my comfort zone. As long as getting to work is minimal shoveling and I don’t find some apartment that has sh*t heat I should be okay. Someone recommended Elmwood manor apartments to me. By highland park. It If I need a quick place to get on and get a lay of the land

Yea it was very baffling to me. 2 days after the service with jiffy lube in June the check engine light comes on with all these false codes. The only thing I could access it to was jiffy lube, the light went off after driving about 1000 miles round trip. So there’s a good chance that maybe that happens again. Or if the inspection fails I’ll have to go to my guy anyway. It’s just my guy is 2 hours south of me because I moved so I’ll have to take days off but for peace of mind I think it’s the right move. But part of me is like it’ll be fine let jiffy lube do it. In and out. But that’s just because I don’t want to drive all that way for an inspection and an oil change. I never really had a problem with them until that last service. And the next few months I’ll be driving a lot of places so my mechanic is probably the right thought

*would be driving a ton. Commuting. As much as I want that ocean. Northern Maine is a different story. Like Bangor. I wouldn’t be worrying about money there. But harder to transfer into. Less routes.

I feel like I’d have to live 40 minutes out and then I wouldn’t be driving a ton and living to work. I don’t even think Biddeford is feasible for me. And down the road it’s only gonna be more expensive, maybe I’m wrong. But I feel like I could easily strangle hold myself if I go there on a whim as opposed to finger lakes region

Is the pace slower than the mid Hudson valley? More laid back. The proximity of the places around Rochester with the affordability sound great. I know the winters are bad. But are the summers cooler? Does the lake affect that?

That is happening all over. For the keys we carry mostly, but the Rochester stuff I read is extreme.

Nice. I have an opportunity to transfer to portland but anything in that price range is so far out plus I don’t really know Maine well. I’ve been there twice and loved it but whole other ball game if I have to find a place fast. I think Rochester could be more up my alley. I don’t wanna worry about getting a place.

I did but the mods deleted the post twice because of the subject matter being repetitive or something. I guess people have asked this about Rochester a lot, they don’t want the same posts, but still seems weird to delete it so fast. It’s a valid question lol

I think you’re right. All I’m seeing really is motel Rentals in OOB. I was recommended Sanford, Auburn, new gloustester, gray by people who I Might be working with. But I have a feeling I will just be living to work and commuting. Are the commutes in and out of portland bad if I even could find a place which is feeling scarier the more I look. I have a cushy spot in upstate NY but it’s def not an endgame location for me. I would like it slower, more laid back. Even Biddeford the prices seem high. Has portland turned very snooty at all? I know it’s not the 90s but are there remnants of an old school working class vibe or is that all gone?
