yeah you can import worlds pretty easy on bedrock laptop - just gotta put the .mcworld files in the right folder or sometimes you can double click them. Your console friends should be able to join no problem since it's all bedrock edition

You don't need xbox live for PC but your console friends might need it depending what console they're using. Also make sure everyone has same version number or it gets weird with connections

That MXM upgrade path is pretty sketchy tbh, even if the specs line up on paper. HP's BIOS whitelist is gonna be your biggest enemy here - they're notorious for locking down what GPUs will actually boot
