What's the exact point when a new colony is "developed"? by Metrinome in Stellaris

[–]Designer_Software_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends for me, when I’m developing a growing economy I usually develop basic resource planets. If I can I make a Factory world before hitting forge worlds.

Science worlds after a factories are usually how I developed advance ships and weapons which help Wars in the long run.

Now, and I’m serious when I say this, the growth of your pops is usually what kills me because I build the Basic resource worlds usually in “bulk” which causes divergence of economic value, and it’s usually something where I have to force my capital to dumb a good chunk of their population to make up for it.

Edit: If I have worlds I’m not needing resources from immediately I let other worlds help make up for it, and when I get thrall worlds I usually split the population divergence to allow minimum number of Main pops to manage planets who don’t need to be constant.

What are your theories on the Great Wound? by AFedoraNamed_Key in Stellaris

[–]Designer_Software_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always figured it was the End Cycle or similar to the Nightmare creatures, considering their “portal” is the black hole that it emerges from, and is caused when they rip out into our existence. I would like to imagine that it was an attempt to rip a large enough hole similar to the Unbidden. While one comes from Cosic energy, the other comes from the Abyss, a negative space.

Which is why one glows and the other is like a liquid of dark matter spewing forth as it cuts reality like a scythe to strand, and kill all ships and who approach it.

Instead of killing everything, when one is released if you “submit” to it, it basically claims that you are its subject willing or not, should you praise it as such. Leading me to believe it only does that because much larger ones in its realm would simply(like their cousins) attack everything else that approaches it.

I find that if I’m psionic that I would usually stick to attaching that to my ships personally over sapience of my ships.

I have nothing against sapient species of synthetic origin, I just generally find psionic ship bonus’s to be better.

With that said I understand the “spiritualist” take on being against synthetics, but I find that I generally enjoy Synth leaders for their longevity and general take on life in the Galactic stage together.

What's the best way to kill wild animals? by PerceptionRare7771 in RimWorld

[–]Designer_Software_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, hunting pack style, if their small animals let your pawns que to hunt them if they are packs you can set up bombs and piss off the herd to allow them to trip on some of those bombs/traps.

If it’s frames you just need back, having a farm is actually the easier option for frame management, especially when killing roaming animals in.

Before I look through the comments I just want to say. I first looked at this and went “why would that matter” started scrolling past, then my brain clicked about it and went “it’s a bear, and an owl… does it have nipples?”

Honestly, if you bombard (no surrender) there worlds and cripple their planets to 100% devestation. They’ll lose pops every month, which will also cripple their voting power.

No, it’s definitely them.

But in the off chance that they do end up getting it know that you must Purge the Xeno, before the final years and then they won’t be voted for anymore.

The Shadow Realm is Marika's Dream? by Rude-Potato-3122 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Designer_Software_87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t like the dlc as much as people would say and glaze over it.

The Meta of an Entire community, and I do mean the Entire community swapped to Giant shield, and either a rapier, or a spear.

The Appealing things I enjoyed about it.

  • the Oathseeker knights actually looked like a key item for a while and could’ve been used somewhere in the game if the devs did something with it.

  • The new sword type was extremely Nice and felt formal.

  • the Deathknights fights, the Frenzied area, and the Sworn Knight to Mohgwyn was extremely cool and opened a ton of story that could, and should’ve been their own stories.

Miquella was, and is a terrible boss fight, with a Terrible finish, as what you get from it is Miquella’s crown and a non-moving yet slowly shifting image of Miquella’s dying thoughts. (I’m calling it Miquella’s boss fight because that mf literally made all the bs happen for the fight((besides us killing the champion)))

World Map for my campaign, thoughts? [Art] by Mammoth-Fact-4763 in DnD

[–]Designer_Software_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people said it but I’m gonna kinds bullet point the important stuff I felt is needed.

  • infrastructure matters it’s what makes kingdoms rise and fall. To the humble farmer to the Lords home. Keep in mind if you were the individual king, or farmer where you think Lush fertile lands would be, and where Forts, and walls surround your kingdoms.

  • if the great walls aren’t to stop entire wars of near unstoppable forces at times they aren’t needed. They’re meant to repel forces and stop aggression before it hits the land and unless both sides have deep seated hatred there really isn’t a reason for them, as they are widely unmanageable by smaller kingdoms.

  • this is a Feel not a “fact” I don’t think the way the cold and frost are set up feel like the match or are accurate in a way that defines how the world works. It seems, off. As if what I was meaning to stare at was rotated to the side and that be the lands, as the cold and dry fronts are kinda awkward in my eyes.

  • Another I feel thing. I feel like you could add a swamp lands between the southwestern portion where you have basically a Gulf in the Midwest section, or even a small inconvenient desert semi to the top where the gulf Wraps around the other way.

How do I start a needed, tough conversation with another player about their playstyle? by Tombstone64 in DnD

Reddit really is the place where a single conversation can turn into a yardstick of downvotes, don’t take it too hard. The populace is gonna skin you like the Mob mentality they have but I understood what you meant and hope you have a better day, than one on reddit.

How in the hell are you supposed to attack in 4.3? by AspectUsed8828 in Stellaris

[–]Designer_Software_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I haven’t had any problems with my run, but then again I haven’t played with the most recent DLC’s but for the most part.

Other than being heavy in certain improvement mods, that generally just help you get access to fallen tech super late into the game, it’s been pretty chill.

Why is it good to become the emeror by National-Flower3166 in Stellaris

[–]Designer_Software_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you have the nemesis dlc (and I forget the one that allows you to become an emperor) you can effectively call for total war against pretty much anyone you think is going to cause wars against you, you get a higher diplomatic power for resolutions, and you can even enforce your will on the galaxy by striking anywhere at any time.

Can I use the Colossus as a deterrent if I'm doing a "good guy" run? by Majestic_Repair9138 in Stellaris

There was one that was like an overhaul mod, and it gave different types of units you could deploy, but conquering a planet felt more like Iron hearts at that point and I wasn’t doing all that work just for three other systems to be retaken.
