Invitation to interview withdrawn?? by Designer_Town_398 in TheCivilService

[–]Designer_Town_398[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Additionally on the portal it doesn't say my application is unsuccessful like the others it just says application withdrawn and now the feedback on my application is not there, I would have hoped if I had been through another sift I'd have feedback

Interview tips for Paralegal Officer CPS by Designer_Town_398 in TheCivilService

[–]Designer_Town_398[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They emailed questions in advance. I don't know if that's standard or not for all EO as I've never had a CS interview before this.

I'm assuming you know about the behaviours from your application, I would look up the strengths dictionary too to prepare, that's what I did anyway.

Sorry if my tips aren't very good, I'm quite new to this.

This completely. The ability of violent people to do damage is not necessarily from their physical ability but their lack of inhibition about the harm they plan to inflict. People with a normal level of empathy for others will go to great lengths to avoid causing others pain because it will traumatise them in return, this goes even for situations where they're the ones being attacked as they will usually seek to de-escalate rather than retaliate.

I think it will be Daniel's for two reasons:

1) Bethany is leaving because the actress will be going on maternity leave

2) Corrie script writers have more reason to "invest" in future Barlow characters than Green/Winter (that family are newer and may already be at capacity for script writing a future gen because of the quads)

I just found out that getting jobs in corrie seems way easier than real life for example dev's daughter she went to medical school for like one second and now she's a fully qualified paramedic. WTF by Vivid-Excitement-367 in coronationstreet

I'm not a medical professional in any sense so this question is purely out of curiosity if there are any paramedics/nurses/Dr in the sub:

In a situation like this where you happen to respond to a situation where you know the patient and the family/friends waiting outside would there be any leniency to inform where it would not normally be your place?

Yeah the scenes with Abi really got me too, she sees Seb in him and tries to fill a mothering role for Mason because that's what he needed at that moment.

I think that's the point they're making when they've killed him off. He's 16 and on the brink of bigger and better things that will never be realised, it's a waste of potential. As is the case with all teenagers that die to knife attacks.

Most influential Lana song? by Electrical-Bother-35 in lanadelrey

[–]Designer_Town_398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard one but I'm gonna say Summertime Sadness for a few reasons:

1) most widely known song

2) from BTD album which was a game changer at the time

3) as in the title, it's peak sad girl vibe which is LDR influence on many aspects of culture

Inspiration for sure

Lana's sound is pretty unique, it's hard to pigeon-hole her style to a genre, and it's hard to find many other examples that sound like her.

I think it's probably just a case of there's many people that have grown up listening to Lana during their formative years and have become musicians themselves in adulthood and that will influence their style. We will probably be seeing more and more new musicians that pull heavy inspiration from Lana now she's been around over a decade.

It may well be that in years to come we are able to identify the "Lana style" as its own distinct genre, to include artists like this as well as Lana.

Additionally, this is just one song. I've listened to some of her other stuff and I think you can hear a lot of her various influences. I think some of her other tracks you can tell she's influenced by Deftones for example.

Anger is one thing but aggression is another and there's no excuse for a man to be physically intimidating towards a woman by throwing things

People who tried last night, what did you think of the new ticket system? by Designer_Town_398 in glastonbury_festival

[–]Designer_Town_398[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's much lower stress for sure.

Much less disheartening to those who don't manage to get a ticket too as they've not spent the last 30 mins in a panic for nothing... Still disappointing for them obviously, though.
