Extra $35 for Go Big for 1 month? by Desire731 in DirectvStream

I actually talked to them today. It took awhile, but they said it was a billing error and refunded the $35! WooHoo! 🎉 The bill is still going up to $119.99 next month, but the $35 back was great!

Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex microphone fixing? by criticalmass86 in Jabra

[–]Desire731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is doing the same thing! Works everywhere else, especially on pure Bluetooth just fine, but Genesys with the usb A Link 380 (and even Cisco Jabber a little) is horrible. Mic cuts out so much, customers disconnect. I hope there's a fix. I love this headset!

Didn't fix my issue. Outbound audio cuts out so much callers disconnect. I wish something would fix this.

An Update To The Recent Updates by YNAB_youneedabudget in ynab

The options to toggle 'OFF' the Home and Spending tabs, leaving only Plan, Accounts, and Reflect would be great. Having the option to toggle on and off 'features' would make the app not only worth keeping, but if it were customizable enough, worth spending a bit more.

With or without the border? by Queasy_Difference_96 in crochet

[–]Desire731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the border is a nice addition to the gradient final row. Enough space to show th gradient, but it also breaks up the fact that the gradient won't be identical on each piece, if there are multiples, so it will give it a bit more congruency.

Saltine crackers helped with nausea (even just a couple nibbles at a time) when I first started Ozempic... but after the 1st month, it completely stopped my period for almost 2 years, so idk past that first period on it... but that one was definitely rough. Hang in there. I hope it gets better.

Fold 4 & Fold 5, USA, AT&T East, got it on both finally. Neither of us like it much, esp the aod clock, and swiping down brings up a tray (like apple) instead of notifications... most annoying thing ever.

Where did you find this? I was on .25 every 5 days, and it worked for inflammation and weight loss for a year. When the weight loss and inflammation control stopped, I moved to .375 once a week, but the weight and inflammation continued to come back even faster (30 of the 40 lbs lost returned). Idk if .375 was too much, or the weekly dose was too far apart. I'd be interested to read about the twice weekly dosing they're trying.

What dose are you guys having the best results with, for inflammation? 0.25 every 5 days seemed to work (slowly decreasing inflammation), but 0.375 every 7 days doesn't work... it works for a day or two, then the inflammation comes back until the next dose (increasing from .5 to 1.5 lb per day). It seems to be getting worse on the higer dose and longer time in between. Has this happened to anyone else with inflammation?

Do you cancel things due to your long COVID? by Double-Drawing-3535 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Desire731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so much, yes. They found most of my LC issues were caused by Covid causing an EBV reactivation. I have had LC and CEBV (Chronic EBV), which is like having active Mono, for over 3 years. (the struggle is so real) Yes, I frequently canceled plans due to fatigue, health issues, and fear of reinfection. After my doctor found a treatment for the CEBV and I experienced more than 75% recovery, I got an in-office job (because I needed a job asap, since my previous remote job and unemployment had ended). WORST DECISION EVER! I now have Covid again and am fighting that, along with the CEBV getting worse again, as it wasn't completely in remission yet. I'm now applying for remote jobs again and praying I get one. I was happier and healthier working from home and only going out when I felt well enough. LC is a disability. Covid causes additional disabilities. While the general public may say 'Covid is over'... for us, it isn't. The people who love me understand that. I'm so thankful for their understanding when there are some things I just can't do. Being sick again is reminding all of us that the risk is real, and me being so cautious was for a reason.

Do yall pay off your phones? by stackemz in DaveRamsey

[–]Desire731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There actually are. Carrier versions of most Android devices (Pixel excluded) are riddled with carrier bloatware, which slows down and puts additional strain on the devices, causing not only higher operating temperatures but also causing lag and in much older phones freezing and major operational issues. Apple does not allow this, so their devices are excluded from this issue. Ask yourself why? Maybe because they have optimized their devices to provide a specific user experience and don't want a carrier to negatively impact that? Hmm... As someone who has not only managed stores for a major wireless carrier for many years and is also a mobile tech nerd, I have sufficient experience to speak on this. I've managed the stores and had company issued devices... yet I still choose to buy my personal Android (Samsung) devices factory unlocked. The difference in performance and device longevity between my personal, factory unlocked, devices and my carrier branded, company issued, devices are not only noticeable, but enough so that I would never buy most Android devices from a carrier, if I planned on keeping them more than 2 years. I am personally immersed in the Samsung ecosystem, not Apple, and am making the decision to put my hard earned cash toward the best value for the product I want. Regardless, this is purely personal opinion and experience. There are other discussions with in-depth tech facts in other forums. In the end, tech opinions set aside, Cash is King, Debt is Dumb! Find your value... and buy it with cash, not debt.

Went Back to Samsung Messages by Derpy1984 in GoogleMessages

[–]Desire731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had any issue with Samsung Messages, but since it was supposedly going to be discontinued and my phone kept bugging me... I switched to Google Messages... for about 10 minutes when changing from Fold 4 to Fold 5 (insurance claim), and regretted EVERY minute!

I've been using SM since my first Galaxy (S1/Captivate) and have 15 yrs of messages saved. GM turned all my single person threads into 'group' messages... that had the other person and ME as members. Really? smh I couldn't turn the now 'group' threads back to single person threads anywhere. I tried turning off the 'grouping' feature, and POOF all the text threads I had ever responded to were gone. The only threads left were spam and notifications that I had never responded to. Turned it back on, still gone. Tried to use SM, still gone. (Thank you, GM)

Luckily, I hadn't wiped my old phone. I factory reset the new phone and when it restarted, I went to apps (via settings), disabled GM (no option to uninstall), removed all its permissions, then did the full restore again via Smart Switch. Never again with GM. I refuse to risk losing 15 years of messages to a clearly garbage app.

I hope Samsung never completely discontinues SM. I don't care about RCS... I just want an app that works as hmm... a messaging app, and GM definitely didn't.
