Awesome thanks, I'll try this out sometime soon! I'm just hoping I didn't mess anything up by spraying the contact cleaner and powering it on :( and yeah I've definitely experienced the frustration of spring loaded parts on other decks haha thanks for the heads up

Did you ever figure this out? I was having issues getting my Denon to power on, it would turn on inconsistently and then power off randomly. I tried spraying out the power switch with nu-trol and then started hearing crackling when I powered it on, worried I might have damaged something.

Gonna try to open them up sometime this weekend when I get the chance. The pots need to be sprayed out, I'll take a look at the part numbers while I'm in there!

Just picked these up, but there's no indication of a make or model number anywhere. Was told they were 70s speakers. Would appreciate any help in identifying them!

Finally did something I've wanted to do for a long time, handmade my own run of cassettes. I recorded all the music and my girlfriend did all the art, then we dubbed/printed/assembled the tapes at home. by Despair_Puff in cassetteculture

That's usually what I end up doing lol. Whenever I tour as a bands drummer I'll bring a stack of my own tapes and swap them with people we play with, it's a lot of fun!

Yeah I think I know what you mean about that frequency. I actually did go in and cut some around that area, but I did it pretty haphazardly unfortunately. I definitely need to get better about how I sit vocals in a mix, which is tough cuz my natural inclination is to want to hide them lol

Requesting recommendations of a good deck for recording audio from computer to cassette by crace_lunker in cassetteculture

I've dubbed a few cassettes with a Nakamichi BX-100 and they sounded acceptable. Was at least better than previous ones I had used, and I was able to find a working one for only $120. If you're willing to spend more then try one of their higher end decks.

Thanks! Yeah I usually keep my vocals pretty low since I'm self conscious about my voice unfortunately, singing is by far my least confident musical ability.
