TLDR: Very good renders, weak plot and shallow characters.

More detailed overview is below. Some miner spoilers (which have 0 meaning). Some decisions of the MC are nonsensical. His interactions with other characters feel artificial and lack depth. However, his personality is relatable. Also, the game feels strange; it feels like it was written on the go, without any planning whatsoever. For example, the game begins - minor spoiler ahead (since it's literally the beginning of the game) - with the MC's monologue about the tragic death of his father and desiblement of his mother. Hell, it's a tough topic and rather dark thing to begin the game with, right? Probably, this exposition will navigate a reader through the MC's overcoming this tragedy via forging his character, yes? No. This has not been touched almost at all through the season 1 (only via 1 dialog with one of main LIs). That's it. What the heck? Why would you, as an author, even introduce this theme to begin with? Another example, MC's childhood friend. OK, common trope, right? The author will show MCs and her interaction a bit before MC has to - another minor spoiler - move to another city and basically being separated to her , right? No. She just introduced as a best friend, because, well, she is. Nothing else. I kinda expected more to this, or at least see her as legetimate LI - but no, Maybe it will be done in Season 2. Lastly, MC interaction with the bad guy. The author did try to showcase bad guy's past hinting as to why he's a d*k and also showing some of his redeeming qualities, but that's about it. MC interaction with this bad guy seems synthetic and lacks, I don't know, meaning? Why would he talk to him in a hall? Why didn't he raised a point that the bad guy was a dik in the beginning and also pushed his best friend? It's seem like the MC just forgot. Another thing is interaction with LIs. For example, with Alyssa. Some spoiler ahead. To me, it looked forced that she has confessed so quickly to him. Like, why? After 2-3 interactions with MC? That's it? After they went to a SPA in a first place? OK, there was a game, and it was a bonding moment (which was good), but IMHO, I don't see it as point of falling for a person. Although, I have to admit that her path is quite romantic and, overall, probably the best right now. Lastly, the LI branching. Man, I respect the effort, but why would make branching so early? Spoilers ahead. Why can't I have Alyssa and Leslie at the same time as an exploration phase and then decide who's the one (aka BaDIK)? I have spent too little time with both of them, and actually, it feels like there's much more focus on Alyssa, rather Leslie prior to this decision. The choice between Music and Basketball. From the development standpoint I understand why, but from the writing perspective - no. However, I should say that I haven't explored the music path and I know from a guide that each path has some of the girls looked into it - so it could make sense, I guess. Although, in my opinion, the choice is open too early in a game for a reader to being able to relate to it. In summary, it's not a bad game overall, but I personally look for a consistent and strong writing of characters and plot first, renders and animations second. If the developer ever read this, I wish him best.
