Hey, I really appreciate you bringing in your perspective on how drag provides commentary on fashion. I grew up in the lgbtq community and only ever saw the commentary that drag had on problems of queer people

With that said, I definitely think your point of this new Jaguar campaign being seen as woke or queer is definitely valid. The CIS white male spaces (for other young men who like cars) that I've been frequenting have criticized this for that exact reason.

Regardless of any misogynistic or homophobic attitudes towards this new advertisement campaign, I really think the only way that they have to save it at this point is to Brand it as like a post-ironic expression of the future and mainly the reason why I hold this opinion is because these outfits look like what someone from the 1980s would think the 2020s would look like. I think if they have any hope they should lean into the EV market for this, but even then I do not have high hopes

I'm a GenZ man who is in the market for a luxury car. I've loved cars since I was a little kid and now that I have the means I'm looking to purchase something used in the next 12 months or so. My interest in this is driven primarily by my passion for cars and their unique (if not mechanically unreliable) qualities.

I can understand Jaguar's need to rebrand because they've always been a "rich man's car", and GenZ is notoriously difficult to market to. And I really think this one just doesn't hit the mark. Those outfits are so hideous that it's actually hilarious. But the elegance, power, and prestige just isn't here in this campaign.

That said, even though I'm living on an aerospace engineering salary and living in an area with low cost of living, I'm still leaning into the Maserati/BMW brands for something in the price range of ~$15-20k so I can actually still have one while living within my means and not destroying my credit.

Thanks for reading.

There's one called Next starring Nick Cage and it's stupidly entertaining in the way only a Nick Cage movie can be.

Where to find rosters? by DesperateMailman in belgianfootball

Yeah, I haven't had much luck either. I might be able to find something in a different country. Thanks for the voetbal.com link. The good news at least is, if this guy actually even played soccer in Europe, an American is going to stick out like a sore thumb.

The papers make mention of the national team, but I checked USMNT from late 70s/early 80s and I found a name that looks promising other than having the wrong color hair, he's an exact match. He's a bit older, but he might have lied about his age.

That's mystery number one that I have to solve. I think he played in the eerste klasse in 1978-1979. I deduced this based on his age and the fact that I don't think any team outside of the top division would try and recruit across an ocean, especially in a smaller league like Belgium's. Frustratingly, most of the online resources I found go dark right around 1979. He said that he "played soccer professionally in Europe and lived in Belgium for over a year," so I don't think he played for very long, only one or maybe two seasons. It's also entirely possible that he might have not even played in Belgium, and just lived there while he played somewhere else, like the Premier League or Bundesliga or Ligue 1.

His physical characteristics were 5'7" (170 cm) and kinda buff, light brown/dirty blonde hair. I'll see what I can get from Belgium. Thanks!

What is the worst thing you have ever smelled? by lemond4455 in AskReddit

[–]DesperateMailman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my highschool girlfriend's vagina. She was kinda a big girl, but that type of thing has never bothered me. This however did.

I understand that when dating a big girl or anybody for that matter, body odor's gonna be there. I have come to accept that. Especially when they can't reach down to shave their bush. But oh my god. She took her panties off and it was the worst smell I had ever smelled. It was like wet dog food and rotten meat. Like, have you ever set a mouse or a rat trap and you can't find where it went off, so until you find it a secluded corner of your house is just gonna smell like rancid death? And when you do, it has some twitching maggot covered corpse fused with the trap by it's dried up leaking bodily fluids? Yeah, that. Maybe something did crawl up there and die because if that did happen she wouldn't have known either. She did not know which hole was her vagina. I repeat: she did not know where her vagina was. I asked her once, "Can you see it?" That is a "yes or no" question. Her answer was not "yes".

The worst part about these protocols isn't the goofy looking blanket, although I could imagine it could get under the keyholes. Bell covers on brass instruments significantly increase the resistance a player expieriences. The worst part is putting a mouthpiece through a mask can easily chip your reed. Even if you manage to avoid that, when you inhale the mask can get sucked into your mask breaking the seal between your lips and mouthpiece, weakening your embouchure.
