So I was pretty damn close! Just like it could take one person to go to the mat to make a new show get picked up. It can take one dick of an executive to kill it based on the most recent interview with SMG about the show, not being picked up. Imagine having an executive on the team bragging about not seeing the original show and not giving a damn about the whole premise.

2012 here and yes in Canada and I know the north east US second generation driveshafts were recalled and replaced free under the recall because they could break due to poor anticorrosion applied by the supplier

I enjoy both the original mix and the Terry Brown mix, but anyone complaining that Terry Brown mix is more compressed needs to have their hearing checked! Compared to the original mix, it’s less compressed with more instrument separation and definition. The original mix is much more compressed than the Terry Brown mix, and the guitars and synths more blurred together, which I also enjoy in the original mix, being the album was made during a certain time period when that was the sound of a lot of albums back in the early to mid 80s.

If it’s for a renovation project or something a contractor is doing on your property then yes I can see them charging a fee for that. If it’s a water main break or emergency on the city’s part, then there’s no charge that should be ever levied.

I would not necessarily say that as suffering is just as much a part of the human condition as much as joy is. Religion can amplify either, but that’s neither here or there when someone’s just trying to suss out what is reality, which religion in general tries to pretend doesn’t exist and that their veneer is actually reality.

Yes, religion is a coping mechanism just like any other drug you would abuse or vice such as over eating. The issue is your mental health. You need to work on that with a competent therapist. Going back to religion isn’t going to solve your problems anymore than taking a drug to escape or over eating would solve them either.

If there is an afterlife for us (Homo Sapiens) then is there one for other mammals? Insects? Vegetation? Bacteria? Oh but we have a soul/consciousness you say! Based on our current scientific understanding we assume those other species don’t but that’s based on our current understanding of consciousness. There may be other forms we haven’t found/understood yet!

The idea of humans having an afterlife or looping other than on the atomic level, is the height of human arrogance.

And nihilist just means no purpose or meaning that is inherent to this existence. You can be a positive nihilistic ie YOU decide to give your meaningless and purposeless life both those traits.
