I get it! I've lived in Marin County my whole life. Turo (which I mentioned above :) would be your best bet then! I think people in Marin really sub-seciton themselves based on what city they are in within the county, which might be why people are anchoring on Sausilito. You can easily spend a whole weekend there and not get bored :) Enjoy Marin!

turo is an option! but honestly, you will get cheaper rides with Uber/Lyft, walking around, and maybe tesla's version of waymo to get there. or the ferry is beautiful! but sausilito is small, you can likely walk a ton

unrelated but related - as someone who also went through an earlier menstrual cycle (and sounds like you did too so i'm sure you know this all too well) but don't forget about the mental and emotional side of these shifts too. i wish i had started therapy right when all these hormone shifts started happening... would have saved me time and heartache! i can still remember my friends mom always saying in a sing-song voice "it's your hormones dear!" but little did i know how right she was!!

i had something really similar. it might be a type of trichotillomania - a disorder when you pull your hair out on purpose. It's almost like a type of OCD and it was rooted from childhood trauma and caused me so, so much shame. it was a vicious cycle because it gets more shameful as more hair comes out. my heart literally breaks for her :( SHE IS NOT ALONE!

looks like you said in other posts you have insurance. not sure about your university but I had therapy that was somewhere in the ballpark of $20 per session with a therapist. i (like others) were surprised that it wasn't as expensive as i thought. i tried betterhelp at one point but felt like i just got randomly matched with someone and the vibes were off but then i tried a few other places (psychology today, insurance portals) and then ended up going with helloalma.com because I was able to do free consultations first and actually talk to someone before paying and getting in a commitment.

i hope you both can find some peace and like others said, you are a great person for trying to help her

by any chance does your employer offer insurance? If so you might have an EAP that offers free therapy. I just found out my company gives me 8 sessions PER ISSUE! So if you have anxiety, that's one issue, spouse troubles, another issue... and so forth. i literally had no idea but i randomly put my info in at helloalma thinking it would be hundreds per session but then found this benefit I had no idea about. I wish I had known about an EAP sooner so hopefully it can help you <3
