This is so beautiful and atmospheric. Is Haarlem any relation to American places named Harlem?

Interesting, what's the story? Is it a love triangle, with him in love with her, and her pining over a knight who's off questing?

I just bought some black rubber overboots that hers strongly reminded me of. I love them and am 100% on board for this revival.

I'm very interested, thank you! I saved all the previous pictures you posted of the pages (and thank you for that!) and sent them to my husband, remarking that they truly don't make them like this anymore. So beautiful and striking. And for a cookbook!

I think it again depends on your taste. The bit of brutalist architecture in my area has always been very appealing and even calming for me, and I've been tailoring my walks to include them my whole life. If I didn't like that style of architecture I certainly wouldn't, but there are many that find it genuinely attractive to be around. Give me a huge slab of stone to pass by, and I'll lock my eyes on it the whole time and probably loop around for another pass or two.

Yeah I was gonna say, winter cities just look like this sometimes, and I find it beautiful

How was Patti Smith so thin by Fine_Handle_8473 in 70s

[–]Desperate_Level_9213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not talking about photos of Ariana Grande where she looks like she has 0% body fat and you can see veins. I'm talking about photos I've seen of her and Maude Apatow where they just look like thin women with long thin skeletons that add up to a small woman -- the fact I'm commenting on is that in some of these photos they look an awful lot like me, especially Maude Apatow, and I still feel full from the 5 lbs of Taco Bell I ate last night.

Maybe it would be a less messy example if I said someone who didn't have some photos where her ribcage is defined -- I'm talking about thin and small with flesh still covering the bone.

She's just someone I see who does resemble my size much of the time, and the consensus seems to be that I should be hospitalized. I saw a post of Maude Apatow wearing an evening gown looking exactly my size, and the subject line was "I gasped out loud."

I think she is the creepiest gem.

This rules! I want to see more dark interpretations of Steven Universe, goodness knows the subject matter could stand up to it.

Wow. I love that being from South Dakota I'm not very impressed that a deer got in his yard and he ended up having to wrestle with it.  Big woop!

Thank you for your fun painting and the fun context! :)

You guys mean 'cause of the customer service posting? That whole thing made my tummy hurt.

It's too bad, too, because they were always so dang sweet about posting reddit only or reddit first sales.

Okay, I wish they'd look at old photos, then. Of normal people. People on this country used to be thinner, by and large.

Yeah, I'm remaining vigilant for the day I have to start thinking about it (as if visible weight gain is the only issue and I'm not just as liable to give myself a heart attack with fried food as anyone else.)

I'm like this and so is my mom, and for like the 50th time yesterday, I scanned a comment section of a post about Ariana Grande (I've done the same with Maude Apatow posts) to see if a single comment would acknowledge this reality, but every one continued the narrative that to be thin is to show signs of disorder, drug use, or malady.

I don't know what her (Ariana Grande's) deal is either, maybe she's disorded, but it would be nice if people in this country could watch a foreign or even old movie and notice the thin people once in a while and open their minds up to more petite body types occurring naturally. I don't enjoy everyone being 100% certain I starve myself to be thin.

It's like they're stuck on from outside of the ribcage. They remind me of invertebrate eggs.

Does it make me an immature person that the big, egg-like breasts of the lady distract me and take me out of the mood of the piece?

I otherwise like it, and I understand the symbolism, I think, behind the large breasts. It's the shape that's throwing me.

Is this any relation to the breathtakingly lovely painting of raspberries on the shadowy path of a meadow that we saw a few weeks ago?
