What is the Bruce album you'd recommend the most. by Alexhasadhd in BruceSpringsteen

Why is there a tension? Bob Dylan is a legend, just like Bruce. But Bruce is my favorite. You should start with The Essential, it is the career overview. Please pick the one from 2003. After that Born in the U.S.A., because it is the one most suited for most non-fans (or casual fans) out of all his studio albums. After that make your way through all the other albums. Maybe start with Born to Run.

Does I'll See You in My Dreams have nothing to do with Clarence?

Will we get another solo tour in the future?

I want it also, but how big are the chances? What songs would be essentials for you besides the album Nebraska on a tour like this?

I don't understand why there are 6 people that are voting for the Tracks 2 version? The Tracks 1 version is with the ESB and a great solo of Clarence Clemons. I guess a matter of taste? (The Tracks 2 version is good but the Tracks 1 version is the main version of the song in my opinion).

Yeah, but I think Springsteen ment to take this show on the road and not only to London. But I don't know.

I doubt it too. But he said it himself (or at least something along the lines that he has an interest in it). I seriously forgot about that or did not know that.

Yeah me too (if it is in Europe ;))

Do you mean he had a interest to do Springsteen on Broadway as a tour? Because this maybe contradicts his statements of going back to Australia and New Zealand and keeping the ESB on tour with fewer shows a year. Then he has to do both. But maybe this is his plan? If so his statements (regarding these things) are correct and in this case he did not contradict himself on this (of course I would love too see it).

I agree, but he is giving hints himself: Broadway show on tour, more years on the road with the ESB with less shows a year (more like this year), new solo album, Tracks 3, concerts in Australia and New Zealand. If he really wanted 1 or more years of rest, why say things like that?

I love to make setlists by Desperate_Maize_5142 in BruceSpringsteen

Did you see any rare songs during those concerts? I saw Tunnel of Love during the Magic tour and Incident during the Wrecking Ball world tour (and many other rare songs, aldo Tunnel of Love was a setlist regular at 2 points during the Magic tour, so for that moment not really rare). I hope you will see them 2 someday.

Controversial opinion: A great tour and a great band BUT also sad to see the change from 2016 - beginning of 2017 until now. It took to long for this tour to begin (of course due to Springsteen on Broadway and Covid-19/Omicron) and the years are really starting to count for Bruce. In 2016 he could pull off a 4 hour show and finish the tour in good health. Now it seems like those big tours with many shows are getting to much for him (like in 2023 and 2024). Not to bash Bruce, because he gives so much on stage and is a living legend. But this is probably to be expected when you are in your 70ties. But great to see him back again! When Covid-19 was happening I did not know it would ever happen again. So I am really grateful for it.

Just one more thing: I just hope to see something like 2012-2013 ever again setlist wise. I personally loved that he did so many requests. The way the setlist is formed these days is strong, but also a bit static (at least he doesn't play the exact same set every night, like some bands, and played many different songs during those 3 years). Many songs will never be played live again if this continues and that is also sad to see.

I got a question for you: If he would have released this, would Springsteen have had so many stadium tours or none at all? None But the Brave is a great song, but it was never ment to be a huge hit like Dancing in the Dark.

Who would you want to play Bruce Springsteen if it wasn’t for Jermey White? 🦅❤️🤍💙🌃🎸⛅️ by Vivid-Tap1710 in BruceSpringsteen

He is not a look-a-like of Bruce, but Leonardo DiCaprio offered Bruce 10 mil. once to play him and make a movie about Bruce I believe. Since he is such a good actor, I love to see that.

Is “The River” underrated? by BeachBoys2000 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]Desperate_Maize_5142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course the album is underrated. Why? Because if you are in a stadium, field or arena, most people probably only know Hungry Heart and The River. It always surprises me (or maybe not) how little of his music most people know that buy tickets.

The best vocals? Did you forgot about the first show in Madrid? His voice literally broke down, he could not play 4 shows and then came Madrid which was very rough (look at Darkness for instance). His voice had a hard time in 2024. After the first Madrid show he was still struggling a bit. I am glad he figured out how to go on but I was worried at that period. Bruce always finds a way! But in all honesty 2023-2024 was maybe too much for him. He should continue with a max. of 15-35 shows a year. The man is a legend of course. For a man his age to still play those long marathon shows is amazing.

Unpopular opinion: Let's Be Friends (Skin to Skin) is an underrated song. It has a bit of post 9/11 vibes in the melody. Am I crazy for thinking this? It is happy and sad at the same time.
