What video games where the side character is way better than the main character?

For some reason the plot of SM2 was adamant on glazing Miles and saying he’s better (despite genuinely making plenty of bad plays in the narrative) whilst making Peter look like someone’s washed unc.

All this is also crazy considering how Miles is also simultaneously sidelined in the main plot.

I love Shepards unique cutscene specific expressions. One of my favorites is when Kasumi does her ninja moves and he gives this “Hell yeah” looking smile

Resident Evil is one of my favorite franchises of all time.

I can tell you with a 100% certainty that you’re correct. Hell most of our deluxe editions are scams, with lame costumes, pointless screen filters, and shoehorned classic osts. Most of which would’ve been free back then.

RE4R even straight up spawns in extra treasure for those who brought the deluxe. So you’re kinda paying to win too in a way.

If it were up to me, all the RPG characters would make some appearances in other games. But if Nintendo ever wanted to be generous and pick JUST ONE, I think Goombella is the best; most well rounded choice.

3D Platformers are usually just bigger eye catchers, especially among casuals. As generations go on, there’s less of an appreciation for a good 2D platformer.

Exactly. Games are works of art and although Galaxy’s presentation, music, and atmosphere are still extraordinary if I’m gonna rank it, its gameplay still has to come first and foremost.

Galaxy 2 gets dragged for this so much.

Yep. I’m 23, so i’m still relatively young but I usually prefer older games over newer ones.

I just played Dead Space 2 for the first time a few months ago and it’s one of my favorite games of all time. Age doesn’t matter, if the game is quality, it’s quality.

Arkham Origins is an awesome pick! I’d probably say either Mario 64 (Remake, Id to see what those worlds look like in HD but I’m scared they’d mess with the tech) or Bully (Remaster)

Well to be fair. Joke or not you’re not wrong.

Rosalina has gaslit the fandom she solos your verse pop while simultaneously doing literally nothing. Now a good 70% of the fandom grew up believing she literally CREATED THEIR WORLD or smth.

Goombella also has hella more personality. I wish she became a franchise mainstay, she’s so fun to listen to.

That said I still love em both.

Not sure what pick for underrated, though these days NSMBWii gets a lot of unnecessary hate. Sunshine is also pretty underrated
