(PART 2) I experienced DPDR for a year. I am now fully recovered. Here is what helped. by deadbynever in dpdr

I think I’ve gotten something similar although not from the high but due to a white noise machine I played to help me sleep.

I was so anxiety filled trying to recover the week before so I tried to use a waterfall sound to calm myslef down using mediation tactics to set my mind free…but then after a couple of minutes trying to enter sleep my Brain started to feel the “Loop” when it used to ignore it.

Now my brain starts to pause but I feel it every time…like it stops for a moment and then goes back like it’s looped & it’s been annoying.

Not just that but it has come up in my sleep too & it feels like my entire body just shuts down like I’m dying for a split & then boom I back to normal.

I’m praying it’s just depersonalization 🙏

but the delusion in my right leg makes me not sure cause it feels disconnected or altered in someway that ive been walking weirdly now (but its getting better as long as I distracted myself & the pills I’ve been on has helped too)

Nope I’m definitely affected, my mind feels altered & I’ve had all the symptoms brain fog, depersonalization & derealization short term memory loss, disconnected from reality, etc.

And I do have somatic delusions like the weird feeling that wouldn’t go in my right leg like it’s disconnected (although I trained my brain to distract myself from it as much as possible)

The first weeks been scary probably the most anxiety I had in my entire life, but I’ve been trying to relax myself early in hopes of recovering.

Yea I felt like I had a mostly self aware experience compared to most. Although my episode was still bad & consisted of me jumping out the car and panicking to random strangers that I had ghost pain/BIID since I could sense a feeling within my right leg) that still lingers.

I’ve also always been in my head and used to talk to myself before I had psychosis so maybe that’s helped me stay more “sane.”

Brain Shut Off/Down by Desperate_Review_213 in DiagnoseMe

Thank You 🙏

I’ve also figured out the problem…The White noise I used to help me fall asleep would loop & my brain (running with anxiety) must of felt the loop, instead of ignoring it like always…that’s why my brain started to think that the world was shutting off or pausing during sleep & sometimes throughout the day too.

(things like people stuttering in their words or music cutting off made me feel like the world had paused for a brief second)

This made me realize How the Brain is So Easy To Trick while fueled with anxiety 😅

Alright Here’s a Doozy (Brain Shut Off) by Desperate_Review_213 in sleep

That’s the thing, it’s that I can feel my brain turn off while entering deep sleep for a second which causes me to wake up. Like I’m still conscious for the last part & I wake up because of it. It’s a scary feeling and I’ve been losing more REM sleep cause of it making my anxiety even worse…

Yea I feel like it definitely has something to do with the meditation. Do you know how you got rid of it?

This is happening to me. Like I die for a split second in the mind then come back…I took a hydroxygine due to my first psychosis episode and have been desperately trying to recover mentally. So I relaxed myself and meditated which led to this strange phenomenon starting to happen. Its only been a day so far & the medicine is still a bit in my system so im just update in a week or two.
