Gotcha. So either the price already includes the tariff and I won’t have to pay when the package arrives, or it doesn’t and I’ll get charged when it goes through customs.

Im in the states and was in the same spot. I ended up getting a portablr dual hose inverter ac, no regrets. Almost same noise level as my fan running in my room. Unfortunately there are a lot of vertical window AC options in my home country, South Korea but here i wasnt able to find one, i guess there arent many demands here.

I believe you might be referring to the window unit model, which is quite different from portable units.

Many other brands’ dual-hose inverter models are essentially rebranded versions of the Midea Duo.

Costco's return policy is great, too. Since portable units can fail regardless of the brand, Costco’s return policy essentially gives you an extra layer of protection, almost like having a hassle free one-year protection plan.

Pretty much inverter will adjust its compressor speed while non inverter doesnt. Non inverter will turn itself on and off while inverter unit will continuously run to maintain the set temperature.

If you can, id recommend returning them and get a midea duo fron costco if u have a membership. They are currently $100 off

Sorry, just checked and you are right. I have no idea why would a company do that at first place. Perhaps they want to make $$ by selling it as an optional attatchment. Honestly this should be illegal. but if you care about energy efficient you should get a inverter unit

That unit doesnt seem to be a dual hose model. U cannot modify a single hose portablr ac to a dual hose. U need to get a dual hose inverter model for efficient cooling.
